The most underrated fixed blade of 2015

When I saw the words "underrated fixed blade" I thought you were reffering to a Hess knife. I have the one pictured below; for $80 it is an incredible value and comes hair popping sharp. The blade is made by GEC. IMHO it beats the Cold Steel: it is cheaper, better looking, and USA made.

USA made is always my ticket to buying !
didn't know about Hess knives until know, thank you.

I have been using the Hess knife for a week now; in the garden and at the dinner table (not exactly hard use) and the knife holds an edge great. It does form a patina quickly being carbon steel. I keep the beautiful handle wiped down with gun oil to maintain the looks, but I'm letting the blade form a patina.

I do plan on purchasing the Cold Steel fixed blade as well, just have to let the checkbook recover.

I had this knife in vg-1 and didn't like the steel... 3v would be excellent and I may purchase another.

Love the design/shape of it! I Remember picking up a pendleton lite hunter because of the similar blade shape!

The 3v Master Hunter is definitely on my must have list, my jaw dropped when I saw it in the 2015 line up! I'm going to look into the Hess as well, love the classic looks and the edge looks thin and scalpel like. Beautiful. I'm also excited about the AK 47 fixed blade in 3v too. Price point is excellent as well in a beefier slab handle design with steel extruding pommel. Its design looks like an SRK killer!
