I always thought that this dark red jig bone was up there with Case

And you always need a few of Herman Williams pieces....

No. No. No. Jeff, you're probably not going to turn me into a stockman lover. But I am really thinking the Robeson you show up there is pretty sweet. The CSC looks nice too. I don't like the sheepsfoot when it is not being used. I do have one Bulldog stockman; it's a big one and the sheepsfoot lays low to the frame. I think I could get used to it as an EDC but I don't know if I'll ever convert. I'll get a photo of it and drop in here; just wish it had bone or stag covers instead of cell.

Arrived today. Thanks to Black Mamba and MarkPmc for pointing me in the right direction. I thank you, but my wife has words for you. :D

Just about the perfect stockman IMO.

I have more stockman patterns than any other that I use for work. This is my newest one and I love it. Queen D2, great fit and finish. But the reason I bought it was the rounded bolsters. This knife is a full 4", but with the bolsters as rounded as they are it carries like a much smaller knife. It is currently seeing a lot of pocket time.

......................Hard for me to find a much better working pattern for my needs than a stockman. Lord only knows how many I have had over the years.

Gentlemen

Thanks for saying so well
My favorite 4" stockman

Yes indiddly I generally carry one of these three stockmen, the Kent being my favorite now that the Case is gone.

I blame this thread for the recent depletion of my bank account.

Green, Blue and Buffalo horn....still looking for the red.

Interesting little side note on these, the long clip (turkish?) and Wharncliffe do not have half-stops, however the small clip point does.

Thanks Jim, strangely enough found the green one yesterday walking through a flea market. Best price of the bunch too.

Sorry for the confusion, Mink. The Coon Skinner is a 2-blade muskrat. The same frame, however, could be used in the future to make a 3-blade stockman, like the ones in this thread. Just my speculation.
