What are we woopsing?
I went with the nuclear handle so kinda depends what I get. If its something really cool in g10 or micarta its likely a user. If its wood or something either safe queen or sell it.Are these going to be safe queens for most or users?
Nice. I was close to going with the nuclear option. I decided to go G10. I really liked that green and black.I went with the nuclear handle so kinda depends what I get. If its something really cool in g10 or micarta its likely a user. If it’s wood or something either safe queen or sell it.
Y’all really sometimes buy Busses not to use and carry?I went tan on sage blade, cheapest option to use and carry.
Usually I'd go with black and tan g10, but this was specifically going to be a user.
You know there is gonna be some bad ass variants available. Sharpened Swedge or spine, etc.forgot to order one of these
Y’all really sometimes buy Busses not to use and carry?“Ooooh, ahhhhh” back in the safe?
Keep it pretty for the next man. I like that. I’ve got most of mine that way.
Ahhhhh, secret squirrel, spec ops type of stuff. Gotcha. Your secret is safe with me.By carry I mean on the kit, either belt or plate carrier... something a bit more...disposable. I don't mean after doing anything nefarious, but when you have to dump entire kit and hightail out of there, or if you end up sinking. Satin g10 combo isn't exactly optimal in this case.
As far as just day to day, not allowed to carry fixed blades 3 inches and over where I am. So, I have to take my knives camping and such. Not, carry them there (although, I think carrying them to camp is actually a legitimate reason to have one, but you get what I mean.) So something more...ornate for when I'm out with regular peeps. Satin g10 is nicer...also coated g10 is nicer and more protection against elements.
Also stuff, like warboar, Triceratops have a somewhat particular use which most people aren't going to use them for, even if they carry them.

Your satin g10/coated g10 comment is debatable. I far prefer micarta. The coating doesn’t concern me one way or the other in most cases. It’s easily removed or kept.
I wish I had gone in on one. Lemme know how it is when you get it.Nothing secret, so far I'm more involved financially, but might end up overseas. So gradually updating my kit. It's gets really cold and wet there. Leaving the plates would hurt more $$$ wise, and actually would be much, much harder to replace. (Sending a set of lvl 4 ceramics actually that way in a week or two) So why take chance losing something that costs more when cheaper not only gets the job done but is just as good id notbetter. Not getting it to knife fight with either.
Don't think it's much debatable, maybe more of personal preference about satin/coated canvas/g10. My SOB just came back from the spa, so yeah coating can go back on easily. My b11 is all scoffed up and it doesn't bother me a bit. Tgulb is competition finish and I got it used.
As far as g10 vs Canvas, I have both. I like both, but love the look of black tan g10. I also like res c handles, was looking for infi ds6 actually by they cost as much as tg nano, and most are in black. And get snapped up from exchange fast.
A lot of people actually prefer Canvas because it's grippier. Personally I do work up a sweat easier than others so my micarta gets sticky fast. On one hand (no pun intended) it's les likely to fly away, on the other g10 feels nicer to me when that happens.
Either way this combo was exactly what I was looking for.
I have a couple Busses with black canvas. I like the way it wears. It looks good and road worn.Nothing secret, so far I'm more involved financially, but might end up overseas.
