I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a close relative, esp. a parent. Take time to grieve, don't make any big decisions (like buying 27 knives ), and let your emotional wound heal – it takes time to adjust but eventually it does happen and then life goes on. Take good care of yourself!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. The 17th anniversary of the loss of my mom was just over two weeks ago, it has been what feels like only a moment and also at times a thousand years. I understand your frustration and there are no excuse for what is happening regarding her aftercare. Settling someones "estate" is a special kind of torture especially when it is so closely connected to a dear loved one. I hope you find the strength to be as patient, kind and forgiving as your mom would want you to be, lord knows I wasn't during my turn. Peace to you and yours I hope this wasn't inappropriate.
