Convex-Scandi ground....

What do you think?

Personally, I think it looks great. A smaller Bark River with a full handle, scandi grind, and 3V. Looks like a winner!

Looks pretty good so far  I think this is the first scandi I've seen from BRKT.

Yup, that'll do. Bark River is not in the business of making crummy knives. Everything I have from them, or have seen has been good to go. I'm sure this will be no exception. Personally, I would have preferred to see this model in A2 instead of 3V though- A2 is more than good enough for my tastes, and I imagine that 3V will add a few bucks to the pricetag.

I do want one of those.

I'm curious how it compares to the A2 Aurora. It will make an interesting comparison! I definitely want to put it to some wood!

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is a convex-scandi grind? The two seem mutually exclusive.

I think Barberfobic's right.

I believe, I may be wrong, that as the industrial revolution shifted convex to flat, so did the convex-scandi become the modern scandi v-grind...

Looks kinda like the H&C forum knife with a "convex scandi".....

Doesnt Koyote use this grind? Hopefully he will weigh in... 3V is nice steel, but can be a bear to sharpen. This is the first Barkie Ive seen in 3V I believe....

All in all it looks sweet though. PERFECT diamensions IMO. Im really growing fond of a 3.75 blade with a full handle. Bet TF will score one. Looks right up his alley.

Exited to see more on this one, even though its really not my style.

I really wish they'd make it with a full flat grind, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. Looks nice though...

Real nice. The Aurora blade is too long for me - this one looks about perfect. If it has a normal handle. thanks for posting it!
