The NEW Post Your Campsite/gear/knife/hiking/anything Outdoorsy Pic Thread!

I suck at this kydex thing but I'm trying! I always wanted a fire steel loop on a sheath so I made this one last night.

Agreed! It's bad enough to suffer "edge envy" when I know what kind of knife it is. At least it's better than "there was this awesome knife I saw... but I couldn't tell yah what it was :(

Baldtaco - Once again, one of your pics was just right - the one looking from the hill down on the mist-covered field. Very nice.

Thanks again, but it does take photos like yours to make me want to turn back round and get out there again before I've even hit the shower.

Season's best to you amigo 'cos I know this year has had turbulence.

JV3-whats the orange para cord doughnut?

yup. in case you're wondering, if you pull the black paracord off the doughnut there's now nothing stopping the orange cord from unraveling.

Second that question. (btw, we still need to get together and hit up Harriman)

hey, man! definitely. i'm free next weekend. i'll ask riz_aaroni and rescueriley to see what they're up to.

Matthew - the pictures I posted above of the upper Bubbs Creek drainage are about 20 miles up that canyon. I have gone out of (or come down through) the trailheads right by Zumwalt Meadow on a number of occasions, there is a lot of beautiful country just above it.
