Thanks for showing us your part of the world. The High Tatras pics are gorgeous and Split looks like a beautiful city

Yesterday we took the dog for a walk along the river-bank.

During our stroll we saw many flying cranes (grus grus) migrating to South.

Yes, that's a brindle. He's quite stubborn but we love him because of his funny side. Here is a closer pic:

Ok, I apologize for the lame quality of the pic. but it's been taken from a Blackberry and I didn't carry any camera on me while taking the pic (skiing trip, didn't want to take a chance carrying my camera....).

That's a picture of a Victorinox Sentinel (serrated, finger hole one-hand opening), taken in the French Alps, a couple of kilometers from the Swiss border.
Sounds like a cliche, I thought it'd be nice to display that pic. here. :)

There's also a story behind the pic. since I bought this Swiss-made knife in Austria and carry it in the French Alps. So I guess it's the perfect European gear...

On the background is the Mont-Blanc, top of Europe.

Deep Creek Lake, my sister was out there with her boyfriend for New Years. I need to get out there for some fishing and general goofing off on the lake...

Jason, those pictures are sensational. The red on that tree in the first one is magnificent.

There are some truely amazing photos on this thread. Thanks for posting.

Here's some of my local area, and a few of my new Fallknivens.

The river not far from my place. A great place to go on a really hot day:

Wow, great work on rehandling those fallknivens! Do you like the G10(?) better than the thermorun handles on those?

And, that does indeed look like a nice cool-down spot

Thanks - for me the G10 is much better - it fills out the hand and is a lot more comfortable. On the downside, they are a good bit heavier.

I haven't owned an F1 in a while, but it looks like you keep the handle profile the same. I'm guessing you made the handle more hand-filling but adding thickness through the scales?

I miss my F1, really should pick up another sometime. Great knife.

Where in Texas did you take these? They are great photos.

Going through my Photobucket, I found my first pics of testing out the Sierra Scout (forum knife) from almost 5 years ago. It looks so shiny and new! Figured t would be fun to post them.
