I thought for a second that it might have been taken with an infrared or some other kind of effect filter due to how vivid and unique the colors were,lol;). To get an image like that with w 'snapshot' is amazing. great job.:thumbup: That looks like a great place to spend some time, thanks for sharing

Jason, those pictures are sensational. The red on that tree in the first one is magnificent.

Some other pictures, to continue from above.

Lots of ticks on this visit. Found 4 at one time on my GF's pants and shoes. Adults and nymphs. Ticks concern me more than mountain lions. I've really got to get around to permethrin treating all of our hiking clothes, ticks seems to be bad this year for some reason....

Acorn Woodpeckers are smart. They use the dead trees in the middle of this lake as moated granaries :)
