The NEW Post Your Campsite/gear/knife/hiking/anything Outdoorsy Pic Thread!

My son and I went for a short hike this afternoon. The trail was soft and still had significant snow on it in places and i'd say we only got in a couple of kilometers before we had to turn back. I only saw a couple of birds and not a leaf to be seen. We are about a month behind in the weather department with cool temps and little sunshine.

I went on a short scouting hike today, I spotted this ridge and old railroad trestle a few weeks ago while driving logging roads, and wanted to explore it. I would have hiked more, but I had found my brother at a garage sale in the country, with no car to get home, so I grabbed him to come along, sadly he was not prepared for hiking up a ridge to an abandoned and overgrown railroad, I will be back to hike more of this old railroad.

Went back to the old rail line that I scouted last week and did five miles along it today, it was a nice trip, I can't wait to go back and hike more of it.

This is a wild place, the place where I came across a brown bear for the second time in my outdoor adventures.

A rather ticked-off painted turtle. He wasn't happy about us being on his turf, and was even less happy about being unceremoniously picked up and relocated away from the fishing supplies.

We were out fishing around Lake Simcoe and this little guy kept pestering everyone for fish, was completely unafraid of humans.
