Well I'm not a fan of other dude's packages but I'm even less of a fan of doing things just because, so if I can get behind something that gets people to actually think about things rather than mindlessly tow the line I will. And hopefully that will carry over into other things that are actually important. If someone can come up with a legitimate convincing argument then that's fine too and we'll keep doing what we're doing, just as long as we have a reason for doing it.

Ok. I was trying to ignore the comments earlier and not get involved or upset about the BoobTuber who has his panties in a twist cause Ka-bar wouldn't send him free stuff,(Good for you Ka-Bar, I will still buy your knives and promote the Becker Brand) and feels he is entitled for some reason and knows everything about everything. But I just watched his latest vid to get a few laughs and was surprised at his comment at the 50 second mark. Talking bout how he now loves TOPS knives and says "Becker's are still good for people working up to a good knife...... but now I'm pretty much gonna be using TOPS most of the time."

Are you kidding me??? Who is this guy? I Also read his FB comments about Becker and Ka-Bar and I'm not too happy about it. Wish I could have seen what was deleted. Pretty sure it was juicy. You are a Beckerhead and want to act like that? Ethan gave him a free 16 at shot? Not good enough? Ethan is one of the nicest people I have ever met and he wants to talk smack on him? And now this guy is getting his little followers to follow along?

Ugh........ I know I'm ranting but I just can't believe how people act sometimes.

And hey DUDE, if you want to have a channel focused on knives and outdoors, Please learn to sharpen your own knives. Or at least don't tell your followers that every knife you own is sharpened by (rhymes with rice). It really makes you look like you don't know what you are doing?

First these knives are the best thing since sliced bread but now since Ka-bar won't give them out for free they are no longer as good? I'm confused??

Alright, sorry if I am out of line here but this just really bothers me and I needed to vent a little.

I just really don't understand why people would act like that especially towards such a great community, knife designer, and American knife company?

Mods...... If I am out of line, please let me know and I'll change or delete my post..... I just take it kinda personal since a fellow Beckerhead is showing such a lack of respect and professionalism towards BK&T.

it's funny how people act up when the mods are away camping or at a show... or Ethan is gone.

imho, when Ethan comes back, he'll be very sad about this person. it's a small world. you shit in your own sink, it will come back to haunt you.
 
I agree with you dex. And Bladite.

I never cared for his videos anyway, i see him and go to another video.... but after he has been treated so well he shouldnt be acting like that.

And there are lots of people who would say tops are for people working up to a good knife.

Ka-bar should tell every other company how he changed his view point...... and technically he also publicly called Beckers less than a good knife after being treated great..... Make it so no one sends him anything..... There would still likely be hundreds of people watching his channel. Shame. No credentials yet people think he knows best.
 
What goes around comes around. His videos suck. Have always thought so, not to mention it's gone straight to his head. He doesn't impress me one bit, and never has.
 
I think if he is really that unhappy with Ka-Bar and the products they make he should just get rid of all of the blades from them that he has. Mind you, not sell them. If he doesn't have faith in them as quality blades he should just get rid of them.

Right on. When you think about it, compared to the general population, the ratio of great folks to nitwits around here is pretty outstanding.

I still don't know who you guys are talking about. I definitely see why people are annoyed and even angry, but as Moose mentioned, I doubt Ethan or the folks at Ka-Bar are too terribly worried about it.

My goal is to have the tip of the blade on center. Not below. The drawing could be better. I did have an issue of the pin placement. Do I place them in the centerline on the blade or the handle? Since the handle contours like it does I figured I would try to get them in the center line of the handle.

Thanks for the critique. Any more advice is appreciated.

I'm not going to post Mr. Fancypants' name because he doesn't deserve the extra views. I can't abide self important people. Good riddance, I say. Ka-bar is a storied company with a solid industry and market reputation. This dude, on the other hand, is just a vlogger with more ego and entitlement than brains.

UPDATE: I have absolutely no idea what transpired. The posts are too buried to be relevant any longer :D I did learn though that: some dude, at some point, said some stuff, that some didn't like, about some thing others like, in a place nobody should admit they frequent.

So..my conclusion is: Who gives a sh*t?
