hey brad. just so we are clear, i screwed up my guess. i was willing to pay 100...which would make the street value a bit higher.

Umm, Slade, I don't know what kind of contraband you were thinking of, but when it comes to knives, street price is usually LOWER than list price:D:D

We'll forget about this little slip up, k?;)
 
i voted the middle option. just for the fact that I want good materials, but am really strapped when it comes to money for high end Kershaws. The JYD2 SG2 is my MAJOR purchase for the year. And i only payed $140 for it, or will have when payed off.

my wallet prefers the $75 or less, but my lil gruby mits want better :D

I think you are kinda missing the point. We have tried this a dozen other ways and it never works out. This is actually the best way yet. Are the chances of failure high... yup. Are the chances of finding a dealer to handle the order any good? Nope. But, on the off chance we succeed it won't be whatever the flavor of the day is with laser engraving down the side. It could be something very unique b/c the powers that be are willing to do small sprints if there is someone willing to front the cash.

So, chill. This isn't the worst thing that has ever happened, and if DV works this out.... you, too, can own the coolest forum knife going.:thumbup:

I voted middle road cause I think a premium steel or CB w/ a decent scale could be about $100 street price.
 
Guess Im not allowed to have an opinion if it goes against the grain. I can deal with that, Im married.

Being called a trolled, plans for boats and concrete boots, well, I'll just let that slide.

I deleted the car thing..... so back up if goes. I am currently car shopping with the wife, trust me, against the grain doesn't cover it....

All in good nature J, and I'm married too (she's a KY mountain woman...direct relative of ol Devil Anse hisself!). So I've never really found the grain to begin with!
 
I grew up in the mountains of Eastern KY myself as a child. Luckily my father knew what civilization, success, and education were all about, so Im rather far removed these days.

That being said, we are a rather stubborn breed.

I married a woman from WV...now those people...wow... ;)

I have been married long enough to know not to get out of the car..... but not so long that if I did, she wouldn't come back and get me.......eventually:D
