We might have to start one........let me think up some good lies, I mean completely true stories, yeah, completely true stories...yeah, that's the ticket:D

J, where are you/did you from/grew up?

I've moved more times than I've had birthdays...

I was born in Pikeville, lived there for a short time.
I lived in Martin County, (big coal town in the 80s) until I was 10 or 11.
Louisville for 2.
Cincinnati for 7.
Lexington for 2.
Morehead for 4 during college. (Spiral prolly knows MSU)
Been in Northern KY for the last 4 years, about 10 minutes from downtown Cinci.
Headed to Dallas by the end of year...tired of snow and terrain here...

I lived a stone's throw (about 30 minutes) from Pikeville for a good many years as a child. I currently work about 50 miles from Morehead. I have lived/worked all over Southern WV and Far SW VA for just about my entire life.

Wow...more moves than Michael Jordan!

Sandy's from McCarr. That's just across the Tug River from Matewan WV (you can actually see Blackberry City when you come down the hollow). Matewan's just a 2 minute 4-wheeler ride away. Pikeville's all grown up now..they have a Harley Dealership and 4 lane going thru!

Louisville is a beautiful place. We have 300 acres south of Grayson, near Hitchins. Someday we are going to move back there and enjoy not seeing a Wal Mart within a 45 minute drive!

Yeah, Grayson and Hitchens arent bad if you want to be left alone. We used to camp out there some when I was in college...

Pikeville + pot + meth = economy...pretty pathetic place the last time I was there...I really avoid anything south of I-64 and east of I-75 in KY, its just depressing.

...and youre not a Marshall fan. You should be flogged.

My father-in-law loves both teams, but hes from Falls View (near Montgomery), so he's an equal opportunity sorta guy.

I almost bought a house at Falls View last year. There are a couple of nice fixer-uppers (the old block houses.. you may know the ones I am talking about) right across the road from the falls. You couldn't ask for a better view, but, alas, no yard. We ended up nearer to Charleston b/c it was just so much more convenient.

I went to school at WVU.... I'm a lifelong Mountie who has no love for the Blundering Turd:eek:...LOL:D

My WVU ball cap goes over real well at the office (right in the heart of Marshall Country).

I know that there are some polls going on, with the expectation of more to come, on the subject of a forum knife. It seems more focussed than past discussions, but I am concerned that the result will be the same. There does appear to be a significant amount of interest in a forum Shallot. If it increases the possibility of this actually happening, I'll make the following offer: I will purchase a set quantity of forum knives from Kershaw (50 or 100?), hopefully at dealer or reseller prices, and handle the distribution to forum members. The cost of the knife to forum members will be actual cost of the knives plus actual cost of shipping, with a certain percentage added as a contribution to submitted to Bladeforums.com. If Kershaw is concerned about pricing information, we will keep the percentage going to Bladeforums.com unspecified, but Kershaw (or someone they choose) will get full information about the sales to ensure that nothing is out of line. I would also suggest that Kershaw get our names and info for their mailing list/marketing use, but that could be done on a person by person basis (and kershaw probably has most of us on their list anyway).

With that, I think the only issue to resolve in getting this done would be to agree on a marking.

What do you think?

I figured I'd move the generous offer over here for folks to see.....
