I've been reading a lot of posts with speculation and different desired blade designs recently and figued is throw up a thread deadicated to all things new and in the future.

Our last new BK was the 10 (actually resurrected and put back into production) and previous to that was the BK24 and even farther back the BK4.

The last completely new BKs were the tweeners (excluding the kitchen knives). The BK section of BF was abuzz before and after their release for sure! It was about that time when I joined this site. Lots of excitement here.

My question to everybody is what do you think is the next:

1. Re-release (example: Brute or RBK)

2. Spin (example: BK16 in D2. Similar to the BK24)

3. All new design (maybe a 'Hawk?)

Also add what YOU want to see Becker & Kabar make next.

Mine:

1. Re-release: RBK
2. Spin: BK11 in D2
3. All new design: Nessamuk with tweener handles

What I wish for: a BK Hawk

I'd like to see a tweener sized Nessie. I don't feel like reinforcing all my pants for a Becker folder. For spins I will take a 16 or 17 in s30 or 35v. Scratch that, I will take several of them.
Release the BK6 already, if they can manufacture the RBK then it should be no problem to do the 6 as well.

The most fun time I ever had here was the year the BK4 and the tweeners came out. :)

I would love to see the BK6 more than anything. I really cant understand why they would expect the RBK to out sell the Patrol machete. I know a lot of people will buy them, Its an interesting blade for sure, I will probably even buy one but I am not that excited about it coming. The RBK is more of a fighting weapon that a woods tool. Not that there is anything wrong with that but not really something I am interested in spending that much money on. Maybe when they come out I will be wrong and they will make a great woods tool. Maybe Mr Becker will tweak it with some of his magic and I would happily eat my words and buy one if so. Mr Tooj leaving does not make me feel any better about it either.

Hey Tman. Since your excited about this, how do you see the RBK being useful to you? Are you expecting to add it to your regular Becker woods line up? Do you see a big wood chopper or a fighting knife? Please don't think I'm insulting you or angry in any way, I'm just curious what other Beckerheads are expecting from the RBK. :)

We also probably need to keep in mind the RBK is not an official release yet and people with inside information cant comment much so it will probably be a lot of speculation at this point.

Anticipated release: RBK
Spin: Tweener Brute ;)
All New Design: Becker camp shovel/hatchet, or, Becker Golok/cleaver with sharpened front chisel/swedge!

If they did start making a tomahawk, I'm afraid it would be like many other "tactical" tomahawks on the market today: way too short for anyone who isn't from The Shire.

A lot of time hawks are shortened to save space and limit the excess handle length from catching inside of vehicles or becoming a hinderence in a CQB type situation. I fully agree though in a civilian role, I'd prefer a longer handle on a hawk, tactical or not.

I heard that Ethan has been working on a top secret balisong with Becker handles

The original RBK is an 1/8" total people eating machine, I would imagine the new one will be 3/16 to chop wood n stuff.

A full grip BK11? Hmmm...

I would definitely like the RBK back in production.
I'd like a Brute, but I'm not really too crazy about them.
The Patrol Machete! Yes! Yes! Yes!

There may be a collaboration in a couple years that should really be exciting!
I've said too much...

I'd like to see the BK10 offered in D2 without a coating and stonewashed to cut down on glare.
Being in D2 it wouldn't need the coating to prevent corrosion.

That, and I think a BK13 offered in D2 with a FLAT grind would be equally awesome.
I love the heck out of my BK13, it follows me everywhere. I wold love to see it in better steel with a little stouter grind.
