Next, if you get 'in', you typically edit your post to say what it is you'd like (eg SDFK with black micarta handle etc). Then you wait for it all to get logged and Jo Carothers gets in touch to get your payment and details. That was fast...like OMG one refresh and they were gone. I'm both impressed and saddened at being #55
Adding a question here, what happens after the frenetic "in" bit?
First time attempt to buy & failure to be in the top 40. Also hoping 16 people change their mind.

On the shiv pre-order, does "(I recommend leaving the point as it is designed. It's intended to be like that. It's stronger and it's plenty stabby)" mean you recommend not adding the double edge option etc? Thanks!I wasn't planning to but somebody asked about it. Yeah, most pre-orders are 100% upfront. And, as a rule going forward, I don't intend to deviate from that very often.
There are pros and cons to both ways. I have been on the fence on this one. I'm going to go ahead and do the 50-50 this time. The majority of people here have expressed this as their preference. And I have too many open pre-orders right now, I am holding too much of y'all's cash. We'll take the balance as they deliver.

Post your “in” here:In. Let me know next steps
Hey friend, are you one of the first 40 in the Sale thread? Not here. The next steps are in that thread.In. Let me know next steps
That's right. I think the knife is perfect as I designed it. But some people want the tip to cut on a raking back cut and like the additional ease of penetrating things like kevlar with a double edge point, but it reduces your ability to pry with the point. On the shiv pre-order, does "(I recommend leaving the point as it is designed. Sadly not, #55 by the post number. I shall go and educate myself in preparation for next Fridays race for a cake knife.Hey friend, are you one of the first 40 in the Sale thread? Not here. The next steps are in that thread.
You can't necessarily go by the post number either as some people order multiples. That's why it's good to go back and edit your post so Jo/Nathan know how many you want. On a 40 knife offering you may not know if a sub #40 post gets one until people state their quantities. If everyone in the first 20 posts buys two, post number 21 would not get one.Sadly not, #55 by the post number. I shall go and educate myself in preparation for next Fridays race for a cake knife.
I appreciate the reply.

Example: At 4:59 start hitting refresh, when the reply box shows up enter any single character, hit reply and hope for the best. I have had my browser show that I was post #5 after loading my reply, then after refreshing again I drop to #20 or 30, when the server is getting blasted you can't always trust the first number it gives you.
you're going to rub salt the wounded wallet with Signature SDFKs this friday aren't you
Will it be a big run?????...yes...
