Can anyone tell me how thick the Ocelot is? I find the ATR a bit too thick to fit comfortably in my pocket.

How thick is the ATR? Do you have the SS or TI version? I was wanting to order one of these tomorrow but wanted to know how thick the handles were first. TIA.

Back on topic... I think Ocelot looks like a great knife except I'm not all that fond of the paw prints. Would probably be a lot more interested if it wasn't for those.

Here you go, Bodeism.

The ATR is 5 1/8" long, 2 3/4" wide at its widest point closed (over the hump, the Spyderhole, and the Cobra Hood), and 3/8" thick, less the clip. The clip protrudes 1/8". The Hood is 5/8" total with the blade taking up 1/4".

Tou could have fooled me. It feels larger than that in my pocket.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. The site I was going to order a Ti ATR from seems to have just sold their last one today so now I'm going to have to find another place to order from. So far its proving to be quite a challenge :( .

I thought a lot about the Ocelot and chose the D'Allara drop point instead. Both have very similar shaped blades. I couldn't see paying twice as much for the Ocelot. I'm sure it is an awesome knife - it's a Spydie. But, it wasn't for me.

I ended up liking the Ocelot much more than I would have thought from seeing it in the catalog, but I stand by my earlier comments on the pawprints. They do give it character, but cleaning gunk & grime out of them would take more than just a stream of hot water or a toothbrush, at least for me, to do a thorough job. If the knife is marketed for outdoors use, potentially on animals, blood & other tissue will work into those tiny holes, and it'd get a lot messier than I'd like a knife to be.
For regular everyday use, not as much of an issue.
Very good design, one of their best, overall.
