Guess i should have told you about the peanut lighter, it uses regular Zippo lighter fluid. I must pack better than I thought. It didn't look like that much when I was putting it in the box. I was worried I didn't send enough.
You did good! Any one of us would have been happy as hell to get that box -o- goodies!!!!! Tell me about that ULU and where to get one.

Chris,
PM sent.
I gotta bow out.
Hate it, but can't be helped.

Gents,
We have a problem!
Back on 11/17, I had to back out: things are extremely tight here, $-wise, and I've sold a lotta my EDC gear

<<< Sold exactly none of my BackwoodsCustoms, none of my KFU's, none of my Daniel Fairly Knives, BTW! >>>.

And I'm not on here much; have been picking up all the extra hrs I can, since back before her unemployment ran out.
Miss ya'll, but we do what we gotta do. Not much spare time.

But I bowed out, concerned that I cannot do this gift swap any justice.

Much to my surprise, I got a package in the mailbox , marked "KFU Gift Swap", from jaydub13.

I didn't open it, because I'm sure it was s'posed to go to another member.
Somewhere, a Member here is watching his mailbox, in vain.

If ya'll will tell me who to send it to, I'll forward it on.

Thanx! and Merry Christmas to all of you & yours.
Peace be with you all.
I'll be back, and renew my Badge, when things are better.
You daymbetcha.

still Gnarly
.

I rechecked my list and that package was supposed to go to Resume Speed KY ;)

No way, Chris.

That's gonna leave a member without a gift, somewhere.

And I wouldn't feel right, because I didn't contribute.

That was mighty kind of ya'll, but it just wouldn't be fair.

Daym! It sux to be po'.

G, there can't be that many people living in Resume Speed, Ky. that frequent this forum . . . . Let's see, let's count on one hand . . . . nope, make that one finger . . . G-Man, . . . uh, let's see G-Man, . . . . uh, hmmn, ahh, I think I'll have to get back to ya'll on that one . . . . :D :D
Merry Christmas brother, come and enjoy the true spirit of Christmas and don't worry about it . . . . .

Pat, be sure and stick around the forum, and welcome aboard. There are a bunch of great guys on here, a bunch of gear heads, and a whole lot of them with more outdoor knowledge than most lumberjacks . . . . ;)
Enjoy yourself, good to have you here . . . and be sure to stick around, you haven't seen anything yet . . . . :D

Welcome Pat, i was born in Wilkes Co. so i am very familar with your area.

thanks brother! and yes, not too far away from wilkes.

This is one of the reasons I love this little section of Bladeforums.

I have another reason -- I just got sandbagged by J1M, with a little help from Chris.
The collaboration knife I donated to help raise funds for JK's granddaughter?
J1M won/bought it -- which I thought was very cool, keeping it in the family and all.
He bribed Chris to get my name in the gift exchange -- and sent it back to me!

I seem to recall you organizing something similar for another forum member last Christmas -- I guess it really is true: "what goes around, comes around"

Thanx,ya'll!

To say I'm thrilled ya'll thought of me, is not enough.

Thanx,jaydub13.

Seems like I recall that some members here have a problem with Premature Ejection (opening gifts early!), so I'll tuck it under the tree for Christmas morning!

. . . . I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut the inside of that box sees daylight by tomorrow evening . . . . :D :D
Merry Christmas G-man, good to have you back on here . . . . .
And on a side note since this is about the Christmas exchange . . .
To my buddy VIK, I did not, repeat, did not, sandbag anyone or Chris . . . . . It was an out and out bribe to him & JK to make sure that knife got back to where it belonged . . . . ;)
Merry Christmas guys,
Be safe.

so anyway - just so you guys don't think I opened the box in a moment of weakness, i was just following orders from SallyT in a PM.

Daym man, it's about time . . . :D :D
Sally T just said, "Will you tell him to just open the daym thing " ??? !!! ( A woman of few words, trust me )
Merry Christmas from Ohio VIK,
Bill & Sally T

and the rest of the contents of the box:
attachment.php

Collab knife, Case single blade lockback, fresnel lens, mondo fire starter kit, jute, fatwood, whistle, water purification tabs, candles, a tin, duct tape, book, glow sticks, plastic carry bag, poncho, KFU patch, paracord lanyard, a couple of bottles to carry stuff in, otterbox, and a carabiner...
Since through some odd coincidence I drew J1M, I can honestly say I got the better end of this exchange -- so far... :D

(I am curious, though - is the "official geocache box" a subtle hint to tell me to "get lost" or is it a case of "if I hide it they will come"?)

I am still boxless in the midwest. I guess it makes the temptation that much easier!
