The Official "Honey, I Killed the Christmas Tree" Thread

Perhaps it's time to visit the neighbors and offer to help with their Christmas trees.

Jeez you guys. Keepin' your trees up until Blade '08?

It was a rather nice tree:

Now a special note for all you lurkers and Busse Bashers out there. Of course you don't need $500 knives to do this. Of course you could do this with most any larger knife.

We just think that us Busse fans have more FUN with our toys. :D

A lot of great pic's here, wish our tree was worthy of a good chop. Ours seemed to fall apart all on it's own. Probably was cut down in Sept. and frozen til Dec.

It's about time you people got with the program!!! :D

Nice job, guys.

I will have a big busse by this christmas. Hoping to find one at the blade show in atlanta, anybody going gonna bring any busse's to sell??

Holy cow! They killed Christmas AND Halloween.

Guy, we have the same Xmas tree stand, which I broke last year when I drop kicked it out of the attic. It still functions, and I still have the broken piece which fits perfectly.

I tried superglue on the stand last week, but the glue didn't faze that plastic for some reason. Being the resin guy, you have any suspicions as to what might bond that stuff?

I wondered about PVC glue.

Well I finally got to chop her up.:D

Didn't seem like enough so I made a quick baton out of the Christmas tree and went after this for a bit.:D

It was a bit chilly

So I tried out my Target fire stater find, reminds me of the Gerber strike force cubes, worked good but was a challenge to use my pocket striker on.

The stuff even burned on the snow.

Have a good one.

I NEED to get a real tree next year so I can participate in the fun...Great pics everyone

Great pics all! I'd love to hear what my suburban neighbors would say if I went down the street and chopped up all their trees on the curb after Christmas LOL :D

I assume I'd be discussing the merits of Busse knives with my local PD in no time. :) All our trees were recycled this year, maybe I should volunteer at the waste department
