You can tell Todd and Murph are grinding and sanding away like mad this week...Blade is so close....and the sub is quiet.

I've not been there near as much as I'd like to be. I was over all of Memorial weekend and one or two days since. Todd however, has basically lived in the shop lately. Dude's plugging away nonstop.

Yeah, havnt had much time to be here on the forums lately. Pretty much besides my boys ball games and mowing the grass once a week I havnt seen the light of day for a long time, so its gonna be nice to be done with the work and lock up the shop for a week or so. A lot of 16 hr. days. Probably looking at two more then off I go.
Murph comes over when he can and is helpfull when he's here. He really kicked some ass last Sunday and helped finish up some handles on a half a dozen pieces. My Dad has stepped up like he always does and helped push my tired old bones and sore back over the hump. Its been long days and hard work, but confident it will pay off.
I get asked a lot. "Well, why dont you just start earlier?" Ha, wish I could. I have been busier the last 6 months of my life that ever, and when you think about it. I just only quite my job 2 weeks ago. So the 50 knives I've made in the last 3 months has still been on a part time basis. I got to be honest with you though. Nobody does that, and im not saying that to brag on myself by no means. My point is you got to have good poeple that have your back. Im lucky enough to have two of the finest. My Dad and Murph. Thanks guys!.......as for the rest of you guys. Sea you at Blade..........and be sure sure to buy some shit cause the babies need shoes! :D

We all know hard work pays off in the end. Keep it up!

Wish I could go to blade and meet you guys, hopefully one of these days.

And in the off chance you return home from there with an unsold M-9, remember I claimed that bad boy months ago:D just a reminder;)

You guys have fun and be safe over there.

I know it's been rough on you, but cheer up, Todd. Come Friday you will have a brand new spiffy XXXL Vols hoodie to wear. It's not quite as cool as mine, but it's pretty dang cool.

Or... you'll think it sucks and I'll have a brand new Vols hoodie, and pay you back for the purchase price minus finder's fee... so there's that :D :p

I also need to think of something for Murph to thank him for the kickass field jacket he gave me at the Gathering... but my mind is drawing a blank, so he's just gonna have to wait.

I happened by the Hunt residence early Wednesday morning. (The best way to get Todd's attention is to park a 30 ft. long roll back in his driveway at 7 a.m. then call him) Anyway..he showed me all the Blade pieces, of course but also the most breathtaking Bowie I've ever seen. Longer than an M18, brassback, his handmade sheath too pretty for words. It'll be on the table at blade and I know someone will have to have it. I took a few pics on my phone..gonna have to go dig them up sometime. I still say, Mr. Hunt..the finest piece I've ever personally admired. Just..outstanding.

Just really found out about TM Hunt knives recently. Love the look of the Yuma and love the idea of an Indiana built custom. I live near Indy. Hope Todd puts his contact info back on his site when he gets back from the Blade show. Until then, I will just stare at the pictures!

you can always contact him here.

Decompression time, whew what a damn blast! Erik and I got back to Indiana last night around 2330, he's already up and pushing back to Kansas. I'm drinking coffee and delaying the bank account checkup.

Push that off as long as possible. Ignorance and new steel is bliss.

I'm dying that I can't run down to my folks and work on my CJ3B this week. Dad is still torturing me with progress pictures this morning as he's repairing the body rot. It'll be no time and my rolling chassis will be recognizable as a Jeep.

blade was a blast.
the drive home, not so much. :D
had heavy rain the last 100 miles, a lot like the storms we drove through on the way to Atlanta Thursday.

Its hiding with a few production blades like a Tops BOB, if I recall

Yup, in the Canadian Exchange. Damn that was an exhaustive search but worth it. Love that white handle, alas I can no afford it. Bummer.

As soon as Todd is up taking orders again I'm ordering a Magua because by the time its done I will have the funds, haha.

I'm glad the rain is clearing up today. I have plans to go to the Indian's game tomorrow and it looks like Sun King set up another beer station at victory Field according to their FB page.

Just let me know when and we'll make it happen.

When'll you be back? - I foresee taking a random Friday (the 20th) off work before a buddy's wedding, which means I'll have a Thursday evening free to pester you & Murph.
