Unfortunately my name is on a list at the Center of Knives. Anyone hear any news from them yet? You'd think being the Center of the Knife universe they'd be on the list for an early batch.

P.S. Knife Center. I'm talking about Knife Center.

No worries they are both production models. I look forward to your reviews and opinions of the Cf version in particular. I will wait for it to fall below the $200 mark before I consider buying it.

Just called the Headquarters for all things Blade. They confirmed they've received a limited quantity of both the regular AND CF versions are are working through the pre-orders.....
I called d them earlier to see if they would price match knife center at $209.95 and they said they had to wait until the knife was out, I pre-ordered mine in January, so I had to have been one of the 1st

If anyone is looking for in stock 0562CF, check out Lamnia.fi (they're a sponsor here). They're based out of Finland, but will ship to the US for very reasonable prices.

I figured I would let you guys know now after I ordered mine :D

And they will if past experience prevails.

If that's true, I may just cancel my preorder. It's not so much the knife that's got me so excited, it's the anticipation. If I can save a few bucks, I have the patience. At least then I won't have to be wrapped up in all this madness.

Lamnia is great I've ordered a lot from them. Super customer service.

Guys, check the photo of the 0562 on the Knife Center site and compare it to the picture on the Knifeworks site. Different grinds. I love the grind of the one at KC but not the one at Knifeworks. Which is the correct photo? Did ZT change the grinds since the original pictures came out?

They look the same to me. The 0562 is completely stonewashed and on the CF version is the "slicer part" polished and the rest of the blade towards the handle stonewashed. Elmax vs M390.

Look at the plunge lines. Follow the plunge lines back to the spine and then onwards to the tips. Not the same. The KC version has a shorter plunge line and stronger bevel angles. The Knifeworks one has a longer plunge line and softer bevel angles.

Best advice I can give is to go back a page or two and see the photos people have posted of theirs in hand. There are quite a few shots through this thread. Take a look and compare for yourself.

ETA: Page 25 has a great close up of the blade.

This is the first time in a long time that I'm actually waiting for that Center of the Knife universe order status email to come through

Got my 562 today! Amazing, my second knife so far so heres pics with its only brother a benchmade 940. Its not exactly zero tolerance, the botton jimping on the titanium doesnt line up with the G10 scale perfectly but its not enough to create a hot spot, but compared to the 940 the 562 is such a solid knife it feels like a blackjack. Very happy with it, purchased from gp.
