I love that pen-for-canopener mod on your old cross Pioneer! I took up whittling about 6 months ago, and the small blade on a SAK (Tinker in my case) is my favorite whittling blade so far, among the many I've tried.

Thanks GT. I just acquired that from one of our own members here, Joe58, on the exchange. The mod was done by SAKmodder. His modded knives don't come cheap, but his work is top notch!

Those 940's are very scarce. I've seen one on ebay and one on the web in another knife forum. No production info on them either. This one was in my Boker Display stock circa 1982-83 and given back to me by a buddy after the '06 fire.

I wish I could find out some info on it.
 
Here is my small collection, nothing too crazy but I sure like them. From L-R:

Cadet, black (my lightweight carry knife)
Pioneer, black (my EDC knife, love it with the Hinderer bead as it keeps it riding just right in my pocket with the bead hanging out)
Pioneer, silver (my around the house knife that I leave sitting out)
Farmer, orange (love this thing, haven't carried it yet but will, wish I had gotten another one or two, such a great color)
Pioneer, black (backup to my EDC)

Awesome collection! I love those Wenger standard issues! I've been hunting for one of those like crazy lately. I definitely need a SAK with a bail!

That's disgusting...no wonder one can't find, much less buy, an older alox SAK/Soldier/Farmer/etc; have you no shame; didn't your folks teach you to share???:p
