The Pay It Forward, get some, give some, have fun and feel great thread. God help us all.....
Open to Everyone BTW. Want to limit it to paying members (because we should all pay to have this great forum! IMHO), but that's not being kind, so screw it. Anyone!!!
So, here's how it's going to work:
I'll start with an offering. A few items I want to see in better hands. There might be a little story you want to include if it's something with
some meaning to you. Your option.
Who get's your stuff?? First post of I'll take it. You need to work out logistics of addresses, etc, but please keep shipping free so it's truly giving. Again, for you to police yourself.
Who can give? Anyone can give, but if you take something, we all EXPECT you to give in return. If you don't, shame on you. Bad Karma, and Grumpy Cat, will be your friend.
What can I give? ANYTHING! You got a light, canteen, pack, blade (duh), watch, Ferrari, OK! Remember folks: One person's junk might be another's treasure, so no ripping on folks for what they give. By the same token, let's not use this as just a get rid of junk page. I learned recently how much better it feels to give up something you like and enjoy, rather than just offloading junk.
SO, on that token:
My offerings:
1 Unused BK4 Machax. Orange Kyyptoglow scales. Original black ones too if I can find them.
1 Kabar JAB Piggyback knife. This little guy come in the sheath with a JAB knife. New.
1 Kabar ZK Achelon(?) knife. Same idea as the Piggyback, but with the ZK knives. New.
1 CRKT blue Ripple with the ACUTO blade. This is the original Ripple. Love it, but needs to be loved by someone else. Opened a couple boxes.
Want a story? K. I love all these babies. Bought the BK4 with the intention of really beating some bushes. BUT I am kinda FUBAR with Bipolar and PTSD. No joke. So, here sitteth I not bushwhacking, and looking at the Machax, feeling like I'm letting her down. The other 2 Kabars just never have been used. A crime to humanity. The Ripple spends plenty of time in my pocket, but would like to move on. The no junk drawer clause kicks in here. Love the knife, just want to give it a new life.
BTW, the BK4 was a special run for BH members with stamped model numbers and a different coating than the current production. Ask in the Becker forum for more about it.
