You knew I had to see how we're all doing today! Some really cool stuff as usual! Gifting memberships? AWESOME!

To clear up one thing (and I know the comment was in jest, so nobody think I'm offended): I am not looking for thanks, credit, and especially popularity, for starting this thread. It came to be due to a personal experience recently. There is someone else on BF that should get all the credit, but I respect his privacy and will live it at that. I want some others to experience the good feeling he and I had in our interaction. That's the only reason why I started this.

I am elated to see that what I had hoped would happen has gone even better than I imagined. This forum is full of great people. All of you here, and the many many others who share with others without posting here every day, are the ones who deserve the thanks. Kudos to all the great members who share their passion with others!

Again it is several years old, 440c steel, and is crazy sharp. The pivot could use some loc tite, but a very solid knife otherwise, has seen no real use.

If bernard_s3 doesn't want it I will make it available to everyone.

I didnt retire, and I'm not active either by I'm emailing you about this. I would love a paid membership.

Edit: can't email you, will you email me. I spent 6 years in the army reserve, I figured it out a few years ago when I got out, I was only actually on active status for a total of just over 10 months during my 6 year term and never deployed to a war zone (in fact I only left the coutry once to go to a month long training excersize in Italy) so if you'd rather wait for a true retiree or someone who was more active than me I understand and have no issue passing it on, but again I'd love a gold membership.

I vote that CK counts. Service is service. We all know reservists still protect us. Whetstone, it's your call, just giving my .02.

Thank you so much sir, and once again thank you Jim for the kind word.

Usually I don't bring up my service in public where there may be others who did actively serve and or retire after a full career because they did so much more than I but I am proud of what I did and I am proud to say I served as best as I could.
About a year and a half ago my old unit was called up to active and it was such an honor to get to go back down there and assist the young people there getting ready to go overseas and actually serve.

You have to change it through the profile settings then permissions once it processes.

Looks the same as the ones I was looking at! I don't think they've changed a bit. Id still like it if it's available!

Now that the BK11 I offered up shipped out today, it's time for another! Next up on the chopping block from me is a Buck Vantage Force Pro with S30V steel and the ATACS camo handle. It is a nice knife with a beautiful stonewash. Liner lock. It has been played with but not used. No box or paperwork.

Please take this if it's something you want to use. It is Paul Bos heat treated S30V and deserves to be used! Pics incoming.

I really don't wanna let it go, but I have a satin zippo that I don't use. I always wanted a zippo but I don't use it. It needs some fluid and it has 2 small dents and a scratch or two (dropped it on the street twice lol ) But it still looks ok and works great.

Edit: The zippo is gone!
