I have a Bark River STS4, with green canvas micarta handle, 154cm blade steel, convex edge and leather sheath. There is a ding in the edge from yours truly dropping it the day i bought it, it is NIB other than that.

I would prefer that this goes to someone who has already given to the thread, so this is what I'll do: i will repost this at 8:00 CST tonight, and the first person to respond to THAT post will get the knife.

So if you have been waiting to give, jump in now. Make someone happy, and get a chance for this knife in the process. Fair enough?

Dang....im not gonna be online then, nice knife!

Hey Whetstone39, Here is your new hunting knife. Straight off the wicked edge and on its way to you. Like i said, its no safe queen but it is very reliable. I hope you get as much use out of it as my great grandfather, grandfather, and I have gotten out of it. Sharp as....well ya know, and ready to hit the woods! Enjoy!

NCCNC, can't wait to put that knife to use, especially with the great history! Thank you again for the very generous gift.

^No problem buddy, It skins like nobodys business. Not the prettiest but it does what it is meant to do perfectly.

What kind of fixed blade, specifically? Any kind at all, or alength"tactical" fixed blade? I have a Western Co. Model 66, made with some kind of steel that I'll part with if it will fit your needs.

And.. if bb6tuner doesn't want it, consider it my offering to the whole thread.

Hey loonybin! I am actually looking for something within the 3-4 inch blade length that is flatter, so I can strap it on myself. I live in a shady neighborhood, and I have already gotten robbed once!

Nevermind, just re-read the posting...

It looks like I will miss it too Whetstone39 but thanks for the heads up anyway! :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm......... If someone is not interested in this knife and is going to be online at 8:00 CST, would you please respond for theAntihero? Just include "i am responding for theAntihero" or something, think that might work

Hey folks, after church plans took longer than I thought.

The little hinder design Gerber went to NYOutdoors, sorry knifenut and growstar.

Again I can't host pics but the Victorinox firefighter is officially up for grabs. This is the one that was my fathers so again please only take it if you promise to use it. You can read the story over a few posts starting at #620 (please do read the story, I am giving it in memory of my father).

And thanks to the rest of you for the kind words.

Send me the pic of the Vic & I'll put it up for ya C K.

i'll play....I have a Busse AMS I picked up last week, used it in the kitchen on a couple occasions (and it has been touched up a bit with a couple ceramic rods). it just doesn't work for me. my plans were to take it with me when I hunt whitetail this December, but if I don't like it in the kitchen, I know it wont get used at deer camp. only ONE stipulation, and I hope this doesn't violate any "paying it forward" rules, i'd like it to go to someone not just looking to add to their collection, but someone who will actually use it. id love it if it was a member's first Busse.

and yes, i'm keeping the sheath LOL...you get the cardboard one :D

Lee, you can count me in! I will take it! I have never owned one and would love too!

drop me an e-mail so I know where to send it. I probably wont be able to get it out until Tuesday...my work schedule sucks LOL

Awesome gift Lee!!!

You should try the Busse Active duty, its hard not to love that one. The AMS has a thin handle, it doesnt work for me very well either, but the AD is perfect!!

Mykel thanks for the offer to host but its already claimed.

Seeing as NYOutdoors is a EMT/FF and will put it to its intended use he's getting it and the little gerber is going to the next in line-Knifenutty.

Thank you all.

Hmm..I have a few more things I'm putting up, just gotta clean out a few more things. Expect them today or tomorrow!

with my big 'ol mits I should have known that wasn't gonna be comfortable to use for an extended period of time, and with the guys I hunt with, a fella needs to have a comfortable user....when its time to "get dirty", youre gonna be busy for awhile LOL

im gonna keep my eye on the Busse for sale threads, I like this little knife, what I want is a fuller handled knife with a similar blade design.
