I am thinkinig of offering an Emerson, either later tonight or tomorrow morning. I am having a decision making disorder today, stay tuned

Awesome! Never had one, myself. I keep rummaging around looking for more to give away. :p

It is a good knife, just have never got around to carrying or using it. This one is going to go with a specific request: whoever ends up with i am going to request that they take it out in the "field" (backyard, shop, woods, whatever it is for them), use it, snap some pics, and provide an honest opinion about it to the thread. Yeah i know i can do all of that myself and post it somewhere else in the forums but thought it might be fun here.

We have an abundance of people who fully use their knives here. Unfortunately that's all I have to pass on to people, haha. I don't think I own a knife that hasn't been put to work.

Or, you both can do it, and we get to see how both of you differently (or not) see this knife. :D

If this thread happened a month ago when I was rebuilding a deck, I could definitely have promised a non-abusive hard use review :p

Ok THAT is a great idea Wolf! The Rat 1 has been popular here, and i think i have a couple still that haven't been used, maybe i'll send a couple of those in the future.

So problem solved: start a new deck! ;) i like the idea of sending a couple of Rat's, gotta remember that

I have been looking at getting a RAT1, I am bowhunting October 19th and could give it a field test. :)

I dont get to use my knives much and that is why I dont own very many! I would like to change that and do some actual work with them. I have a couple that sit in boxes and one sak I carry. I would like to end up with just a couple that I have used and trust that I can do anything with them.

Based on prices of food, I am considering (really considering) taking up bow hunting (maybe crossbow, if legal) and fishing but no guns as I dont have the funds for that or alot of gear! I am also going to try to put in a small garden next year! :)

I'm really looking to replace my EDC folder with a good medium to small sized fixed blade & would send out the folder to someone in need !!

Hey sir mike - careful, bowhunting is addicting, trust me i am one of the afflicted. But it can be economical, i think antlerless tags were $9 or something last year and were unlimited where i hunt. I am just now starting to run low on venison :)

Lee, you can count me in! I will take it! I have never owned one and would love too!

your Busse is in the mail and I emailed your conf#...scheduled delivery is 10/9, but we all know that goes LOL

What the hell..I'll take my chances on an EDC fixed blade & go ahead & offer up my folder. It's nothing great but it's been a great knife for me. It is a SOG Trident Tanto & is assisted opening & has the seatbelt cutter on the handle. It's black w/ a black blade w/ lots of life left in her & is up for grabs. Please contact me for this by email as I'm not always on the forum. I'll email the reciever back to get their mailing info. If you don't hear back then someone beat ya to it. Thanks

id rather see a good knife put to use instead of collecting dust, and that is all the AMS would have done around here. good thread folks, over the last couple days it has provided me with plenty of entertainment.
