The one knife everyone should own at some point in their life!

Chalk up another one for a sebenza.

But in all reality, i think everyone should have a good leatherman. It's got everything you would need in most (survival) situations including a very competent straight blade and serrated blade.

I figured the Sebenza and SAK would make it big on here but was actually a little surprised by the number of Mora's that got mentioned. I can not disagree with any of the choices mentioned.

I actually think everyone should own a ZT 0350 at some point in their lives. It is the one knife I keep getting drawn back to. The recurve has never been an issue for me, it is consistent, well made and very affordable for what you get! Not only was it a major gateway knife for me but one for many of my friends as well.

Think they're better than the Paramilitary 2?

I like the PM 2 but I think the blade shape on the grip is a little more versatile. Plus they are cheaper on most cases and you can customize somewhat. Also seems like Spyderco can't seem to meet the demand.

.. also a Queen dogleg jack :) The little 31/2" one. Mind you most Queens are worth owning, if their F&F is OK

A SAK. One of the most famous knives of all time, the perfect non-threatening entry-level knife for a boy or a girl, and preferably at a young, teachable age.

Installs in either that a knife is really a tool to begin with, so they can treat them as such the rest of their lives.

Not simply a weapon, but handy for things from food prep to opening packages of other things.

Conveniently packaged with other tools to reinforce that message.

And darn handy to have in general, adult or child alike.
