The one knife of your collection

Most likely with my Para2, 20CP. Maybe the M4 Manix2. Both good knives.

I can't believe it took 11 posts before someone said smatchet. This place is going down hill. That should have been top three.

I'd grab my CS safekeeper 1

Alright, let's pretend you and are having your best buddy over to dinner with your family on a stormy night.
After Dinner you decide to boast with your full knife collection while sipping whisky, filling your table to every last inch with knives and cleaning utensils.

Still with every knife spread out on the table, you hear a growing roaring sound outside, the windows trembling and your neighbours screaming.
You take the remote from your wife who protest you disturbing her "golden girls" video programm all the while furiously removing her oversized headphones.
The news announcer warns of a tornado quickly forming in your area, which is considered a phenomenon by the fellow weatherman. With a quick glance out of the window, you already see a steadily growing tornado heading your way.
Now such as the family-man you are, you tell everyone to evacuate in your SUV while you get the most necessary things before leaving.

Just with little more than few minutes before the tornado reaching (what in your sense would be critical) distance.
You still got enough time to take the most vital things for your family and are even left with little time to rescue your knife collection.
Too late you notice that your collection is still all strewn about the dinner table and you being left with enought time to grab only one before evacuating.
Fully well knowing that you'd be forced to turn your displayshelf-queen into a (possibly hard) user to support you and your family while every other knife of you collection will be lost...
If you are to survive this horror, you swear to only inherit this knife to your son/daughter with every scratch, rust and chip to tell its tale.

... Which one will be your "one" knife in your collection.

Without fail I always have a Victorinox Fieldmaster in my RFP, Leatherman Squirt PS4 in my coin pocket, and a Spyderco Tenacious IWB. Yesterday I picked up a Paramilitary 2 and it will most likely split time with, or replace the Tenacious, and right now I have both as it has turned cooler today and I have a jacket on so the PM2 is in the RFP of that.

So with that as a given, and without a second thought, I'd be grabbing my Becker BK-9.

I always have a couple of smaller blade knives on me . So I guess I'd grab my Scrap Yard 711 , which is basically the same knife as the Swamp Rat camp tramp .

.................................................
HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

I would'nt worry much about my knives. They would all survive. There have been days where some may leave the wife & grab the knives, but more probable is the wife would leave us men & grab something else of more importance. -------------kidding, really, j/k.

Any one of the many i have would do me just fine. I just hope none come un-sheathed. If so, it would be like a Ninja blender on steroids !!!

Since I would probably be carrying my Spyderco Endura or Sage, I would go back and grab my Tenacious

Ive had an Endura in my pocket for about 2 weeks now, but I'd grab a medium fixed blade. This makes me want a Junglas or BK9 though

I always carry my EDC which is a Leatherman Wave, MAG-LITE XL50, and as of today Cold Steel Recon Tanto 50/50. So those would already be on me of course. Moving on I have actually been in this situation living here in Illinois with Spring Tornados. I always make sure my Ka-Bar USMC is on me when the weather gets bad around here. Its a good piece of steel to clear brush, break car windows, dig, etc, etc.

I think I'd grab my hatchet and mora and throw all my knives in the oven. Last thing I want is to be in a tornado of my own knives

I would not hesitate to grab this. (Dan Graves Rifleman's Fighter Bowie. It is all stag and his own homemade Damascus.)

lift table cloth, fold in half, fold in half again, throw whole package into back of car. There - whole collection saved.

Busse C.A.B.S, t's a very practical size for a utility knife and made of some very impact resistant steel which means in a pinch I could abuse to some extent if I had to.

Here's a pic of it in a universal Sharpshooter sheath which I've found to be a great a great fit.

I keep a versipack in the trunk of my car with a scrapyard 511 and an Izula 2 amongst other things. I'd just grab my council tool Velvicut Hudson Bay Axe since, unless I'm in bed, I have my edc folder and my little Battle Creek wharnie fixed blade in my pocket.

Id find this more enjoyable if I wasnt currently in the same town were 6 people died over the past week, anyways I had a smf in my pocket and my Busses in cases already I dont know what good that would have done had it hit my place, make it easier for someone to find I guess :).
