The one "must have" Kershaw?

Any one of the JYD models, but preferably the Ti/SG version which shows off both design, production and materials excellence that is Kershaw. The very basic 13C models bought at Wal Mart are also amazing if you think about the level of quality and materials and design that went in to producing those models while keeping the cost very modest. Huge bang for the buck there. Joe

+1:thumbup:I forgot about that one.Great Knife!

I also really like the heavy duty folding knives Kershaw had with the black micarta, very accented finger grooves & a backlock.I can't remember the name of them. They were definately built to last.

....I seen glockman mention them more than once

man tough one. I must admit balisongs have taken over my collection but if its a regular folder its gotta be a kershaw. With that said i cant pick one. Kershaw simply comes out with too many good designs to just pick one. Its as if everytime i get my dream kershaw they make something else i would want just as much if not more. Now thats what i call being on top of there game.

"Bumps"
The Speed for the value...
The Spec for the G10 grip/S30V blade.

The cutting performance of these re-cures are outstanding, and I think under-rated, they fit my hand like a glove, and look cool too.

I've got a few Kershaw's now and I was just curious, If you guys had to pick one Kershaw that you'd consider a "must have" for any Kershaw lover/collector to have, what would it be and why??

By one do you mean;

- Example of a Line
Any Chive

- Variation within a line
Damascus Leek

- example of a single Run
1670S60V

- a single exact knife
Pre-owned Collector Actual Single Knife

Yup. The (Deer Hunter) Folding Field, # 1050. Around $ 135 to $ 155. Here's the specs:

Description:

KS1050 Deer Hunter Folding Field lockback 4" locking drop point blade. Solid brass bolsters and finger grooved contoured black phenolic handles. Field-proven for strength, performance, and durability. Hand-honed to a Kershaw "shaving sharp" finish. Each knife includes a handsome, harness-leather sheath. Drop Point Blade - 4" (10.2cm), Overall - 8 1/4" (21cm), Steel AUS8A, Weight- 8.2 oz .

* info is from www.Knifecenter.com. This varies slightly from Kershaw's site. The name Deer Hunter is not included on Kershaw's site. It is referred to as the Folding field, and lists a 3.75 inch blade. I think the Deer Hunter name is attached to the fixed blade, but I could be wrong.

The KS1050...That's a "Must Have" for me;)

Well being that i love Kershaw's combination blades, the Tyrade is the big daddy of the CBs :)

Well, if someone held a gun to my head and told
me to pick just one, it would be the Random Task.
I would however try to negotiate a deal to keep
one of my RAM's without the addition of another
hole in my head. ;)

I would have to say the limited edition one of two hundred San Mai Lahar with spalted maple scales and smokey anodized titanium liners. (I can dream can't I?)

Seriously though, the Tyrade for non traditionalists or one of the old school folders that Dave listed. Those classic folders are amazing. I'm keeping my eyes open for one at booths of the local knife traders.

hmm, san mai lahars.....sounds like we need some pics :)

Man, Random Task's seem to come up alot. I saw one on the auction site a while back and now I kinda wish I'd grabbed it. It was kind of pricey but from what ya'll say it might've been worth it!

Heh Heh,

Slade, if the San Mai Lahars existed (and I actually had the money to buy such a knife) I post them.

Wow.. Not one Offset up there? Well I'm gonna have to go ahead and say G-10 handle Offset.
