The one "must have" Kershaw?

Leek... but I could just as easily say Skyline on a different day. Both of these are just about perfect for EDC. Cuts great, handles well, good length, and carries easily (slim and lightweight - unobtrusive in pocket).

I would not have guessed that one, I am considering selling mine. I guess I would say as far as new school Kershaw, probably Ti ZDP leek or SG2 blur. Old school foor me would be 1430 Wild Wild Turkey, Ti ATS34.

If I remember correctly, didn't you sell me a Ti ZDP Leek years ago? I still have it......

Bwahahahah! Lurking for years!

My vote is for the ZT 0200. I think it is a perfect example of a very high quality knife with a great design and outstanding f&f at a very reasonable price point. To me that is my favorite part of kershaw/ZT

My personal opinion....

For ZT it's a 0350.
Kershaw is a tough pick between a blur or leek. Leaning a little more toward a leek... Especially if you already have your 0350 for the more tactical tasks.

wow - this is an old thread back from the dead - but a great thread.

Hands down - at least for me, would be the Volt 3600.

It showcases Kershaw technology; 3d ti machining, wonderful G10 inlay, collaboration (with RJ Martin), and the composite blades that are setting Kershaw/ZT apart from the crowd, this one using Boehler M390. Add in that the knife is downright beautiful while being comfortable to use and pocket, you have a winner on all fronts.

I really have not found a Kershaw/ZT that I did not like, I just like some more than others.

My four most carried Kershaws are the RAM, Zing, Leek, and Skyline.... I have a hard enough time just deciding between which one I'll carry for the day.

But if pushed, it's going to be the Skyline (by a razor thin hair).

I do not have one of these, but it would definitely get my vote for Kershaw. I just can't warm up to the Leek. Perhaps it is because the first and only one I got, a CPM-D2 composite blade, has a lock-bar that with the slightest lateral touch, moves all the way to the opposite scale behind the blade. The blade is locked open, and so far there is no play. But after what I had received in other knives, from the ZT0560 to the Shallot, it turned me off of Leeks.

As for ZT, I'd probably vote 030x, even though I think the 550 will remain my favorite.

For all around usefulness, ease of carry, and affordability, I'd have to say it's the Ken Onion Leek with the Sandvik 13C26/CPM-D2 blade. Kershaw offers many good blades, but this is the one that sees the most carry time with me.

Here is my latest "must have". I "googled" mini task and found one for sale at Jaysknives. Called him on Thursday before the Fourth of July and it was here on Tuesday this week. Although I'm not partial to CE blades, everything else about this knife is wonderful and the blade isn't too bad, just not PE. Now, for my next "must have" I need to find a PE Mini Task.

I really need to work on my photo skills.

I have one just like this, but it's a blem that I got a few years back off of the 'bay (probably from Dave, before I knew who he was); I would love to find a plain edge version as well.

I would say either a leek or skyline just because they are so recognizable, everyone with a collection of kershaws is probably going to have a different favorite... and most collections will be made of different models. Regardless of what models different people have in their collections, I bet you almost all of them have at least one leek and skyline in there somewhere.

Maybe go back a little while and I would go for a ROGUE? think that is the name of it. or wpu;d be happy if they made an UBER BLUR in red partial serrerations I got big hands wants a big knife that still fits my pockets in size and cash.

Oh sorry, asking for a knife they don't make yet? Ok, OK (hint, hint, hint....)
