What is the knife you have on you and what are the potential survival situations you might encounter before you are where you can rotate to a different knife?

Always on me. Dozier K-7 Slim Outdoorsman, Leatherman Skeletool, and a 3 bladed Buck folding pocket knife. Worst survival scenario....I work 5 miles from the house. Flat tire. Change to spare, drive home.

I know, not very exciting.

I carry a ESEE Izula and Leatherman Pulse. I've only been farther than a 2 hour walk from home twice in the last 8 months. The town dump is on my way to work so if I can make it past that without losing my lunch I'm golden.

SAK Rucksack, CS Lawman folder, and BK14 ESKabar, my 3 EDC knives. Sometimes I swap out the BK14 for an Izula.

Right now I have my Izula on me. I rotate between that and the ESKabar, and I always (most of the time) have my BK13 Remora though today I forgot it on my night stand along with my watch. :(

I alwys have a Kershaw Blur and an ESEE Izula. I have a BOB that stays in the house when I am there and goes in the car when I leave the house. It will have in it sometime this week and ESEE 4CP. I am never very far from the bag.

I usually carry two knives on me as edc's -- one a slipjoint and the other a heavier, single blade lockback. The specific knives vary -- for the past three or four months my slipjoint has been a Queen-made Moore Maker trapper, and my other knife is usually a Benchmade, but lately I've been feeling nostalgic and carrying a Gerber folding sportsman from the 70's, back in the days when Gerber made quality stuff. To get to other knives I'd have to walk to my either of my vehicles, where I stash a fixed blade (right now I have an old beat up Effington Blackjack Model 5 in my truck, and a vintage (20 years old) Cold Steel SRK (back when CS also made good shit, instead of just shit) in my car; a SAK; and a multi-tool (one Gerber, one Leatherman).

On me, SOG Flash II, Victorinox Soldier and Classic.
Most likely survival situation: caught at work or on the way home, with a total distance of about 15 miles worst case.

However, if I can make it to my Jeep, I have a BK-2 and a Gerber Back Paxe to assist me as well. Along with a GHB.

My Vic Outrider is on me whenever I'm wearing pants. Never come across a situation outside the bush that it couldn't handle. When I hit the bush add a fixed blade of some sort on my belt, like Pit usually a smaller one, about 3" when just out walking the dog on the usual trails, 4-7" when in any sort of actual woods. Usually a hatchet if I've got a pack with me.

Spyderco Tenacious in my pocket and Leatherman Core on my belt and in the edc/bob bag thats usually close by is a Rodan and a Fiskars slide saw and SAK PE OHT and the usual assortment of gear. Cars got a machete, axe, CS Shovel, etc. I'm well covered in any event.

just ruming around my smalltown always carry my folder zt 200 other times i carry my old stider 4 inch fixed blade easy to shapen and deploy fast most of the time i carry both

Always have a Leatherman Juice XE6 and a Graham Knives Stubby Razel on me. Between the two, I can handle just about anything (plus, I've built a mini-kit into the Razel's sheath: Nanostriker firesteel, small LED light, Suunto clip compass, flat whistle, safety pins, duct tape, ranger bands, hooks, line and sinkers). Plus, the handy-dandy Vic Classic on my keychain.

If I can make it to my Jeep, there's a Leatherman Surge and CRKT ringed razel in my BOB, plus a Leatherman Charge TTi in my glove compartment (what can I say? I like multitools and Razels )

carry a bk 11 with a ferro rod and jute twine and small piece of fatwood. I also carry a slip joint barlow , I drive about 30 miles one way to work but I believe I could make it back on foot through the woods if the worst happens. I also have a hatchet and a cold steel bushman in the side door pocket of my truck.

Pocket today is a Gen1 Endura, bag next to me has a LM Wave, GHB in trunk outside has a cheapo SAK and a 4" fixed blade tanto.
