The ones you keep

For me , my 710 and Yojimbo2 are the ones I'd never sell. And I have numerous versions of each.

I'd say that my Nirvanas are also lifetime keepers but I've only had them for a couple months so it's too early to call. But I am 100% all about the Nirvana. Love it.

My spyderco militaries wont ever go anywhere. My most prized folder is a Les George VECP v3 with a DLC black stonewashed blade. I used it to cut the umbilical cord when my third child was born. It is the definitely a knife I will keep forever

Say what?! Was the kid born at home?

These ones followed me, and will follow me, everywhere in time and space.

I keep Leeks for sure. Not only because they wouldn't bring much $, but also because they find their way into my pocket so often. A sleek knife!

With REK re-grinds, many flat grind ones become keepers that they would otherwise not be. This includes the dull as heck Al Mar folder which, with a zero edge, is now the sharpest knife I've ever seen or owned... The point ended up a little fragile, so another had the zero edge done on one side only...

The Al Mar Shadow dagger edge needed a heavy re-profile to 17 degrees to work, but I never tried a full height re-grind on daggers, or on any hollow grinds. Keeping a dagger or not is more a matter of the centerline being more or less straight near the point, which they often aren't...: The Al Mar had to be bought twice to be anywhere near acceptable centering...

Among those I've popped or dropped, I am left with three. The first is a very serious 10.5" Bowie which somewhat resembles the Rambo III by Gil Hibben. This knife recently came back from Bill Bagwell who put an excellent primary edge on as well as an extremely sharp swage and razor tip profile. I love this knife. Set up an EDC IWB rig for it. The second is a very under rated Elk Ridge folder. Thumbstud and flipper. Solid build. I've had it now for two years and use it constantly. It takes and holds a damn nice edge. It is my EDC folder. The third is my set up 18" Tramontina machete. In Florida, there are palms and all other vegetation and it takes them right down without an issue. All three are cared for and not abused nor pressed into tasks they were never designed for. I do not know the brand of the Bowie but it takes and keeps an absolute razor edge. Nice balance. Very happy with all three. Who can choose three they'd keep absolutely?

Carried everyday since day 1

I have all colors and versions, except for plain edged ones
And I can't get it out of the EDC system!

Riz! Please check out the Crusader Forge home page for pix.
I have a Mark4 Tanto on the way.

Emerson CQC-12 that I have used on a regular basis since 2004 and a Randall Model 1-6 that I've had and used hard since 1966 (Purchase price was $ 35 LOL)

They all get used. Quality lasts, note many are pretty old and been out of production for a while now. There are a few missing in the pictures, like my spyderco and Opinels. There are a few knives I still might buy but thats just because I like knives and use them; got to be something special though.
