Just crossed the 2,500 mark. Thought I'd do a give away.

Basic rules:
* Winner must be 18 or older.
* Winner takes responsibility for any and all actions associated with the knife upon shipment.
* Winner must be in the US (would be honor to send APO/AFL).

How to win:
* Post a picture or a link to the most innovative knife design, locking mechanism, or modification. I want originality.
* I will pick a winner based on a random number (based on post# in thread)
* One entry per entrant (though comments are fine -- I will use the post # of the first post.)
* Drawing to held on 7/15

The Prize is a CRKT Ripple. Pictures below. Got this as a way back into CRKT. I've heard Ken Onion is doing some cool stuff. I have to say I am impressed. Its rock solid lock up and smooth action are superb (especially for the price.) I've used it a bit around the house so it can use a sharpen. Otherwise this bad boy is mint.

I'm not old enough to enter, but here's a pic anyway.

It's the MUDD knife, by Grant and Gavin Hawk. (that's the zt version) It uses the hawk lock, and the pivot and lock are sealed so nothing will get in them.

Pretty cool custom. "The Tighe Rod knife is styled with Glenn Klecker's NIRK locking mechanism, which allows the lock back to be an integrated part of the handle design."

940-121

- Axis lock (IMO, the best for folders)
- Slim design, great ergos, and could be both a workhorse and/or gentleman's knife.
- One could be very satisfied for the rest of his days with a 94x

530-1303

- Axis lock (+)
- Less than two ounces
- Ultra slim
- Very, very sharp!
- And the CF is an awesome touch ;)

This is the first one that came to mind. One of only two knives I know about with the lock on the blade.

Thanks for the chance.

I'm in, Barry Wood Swing Lock, solid lock up unusual locking system, I can think of at least 3 that probably will get missed so I'll post after the contest if I don't see them posted by anyone else.

BTW, always wanted the Ripple, aside from the Grateful Dead song Ripple, and the fact that I always liked the look of the knife, I think it would be a perfect knife for me.

Thanks for the Giveaway and good luck to everyone.

Yea it doesn't look all crazy or stand out, but its innovative because it takes a time tested design and makes it that much better.
Not to mention the 1 piece bodies.

I used to own an MK6. Good solid knife and well worth the money. I ended up getting rid of it as it was a bit too large & heavy.
