When I am not at work, you can usually find me at the CrossFit box. Started CF about 1.5 years ago and hooked big time. Here a quick vid of hitting a new personal record snatch...

Another hobby of mine is my hot rod, always tinkering with it and makes track apperances regularly...

Love the black rifles, here is my recently built BCM upper with Aero Precision lower with a lot of goodies, sweet shooting rifle...

Tom it is a hoot literally lol. I've shot a few matches in Oklahoma as well as Texas

This was a blackpowder match with me shooting,

and a smokeless match

both shot on phones that were pretty crappy but it gives you an idea of what matches are like.

Hey I think I am still a life member there from back when I was at OSU. I had to become a life member to buy primers during the beginning of the crime bill.

Powder Room used to be the only game in town for an indoor range. It's so old and dirty it's like shooting in a coal mine. Fortunately we have several other options now.

It didn't really take too much convincing, and I don't really go out a lot, but it was fun to have a guys night out.

Got too many kids at home to do that very often.

Hey what kind of Single Action/Caliber are you shooting with?

I've got a nice set-up for cowboy action shooting, and I love my Ruger Super BlackHawk 44 mag, but I am waiting to get my re-loading station set-up before I get real serious about shooting the 44. Building my shed this summer I hope, then I will have a place for my Rock Chucker Re-Loader.

I use ruger vaquero 44/40s with bisley grips and a few other custom mods. You pretty much have to reload to shoot matches very much, I've got a dillon 550 set up for large primers and another set up for small, wife shoots 45lc and 44/40 and daughter shoots 357s and 38s. As well as a couple of shotgun loaders one for smokeless one for blackpowder.

GREAT idea Rob! It's really cool getting to "meet" the community...

Outside the world of INFI and generally fine cutlery, I engage in a couple different modalities of healing work:

I study and practice acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

I love the work - every treatment I give, I find myself learning more and more about the nature of this medicine and how the body works...I feel like it is something I will never grow tired of

The majority of my work time where I'm currently living in Mexico involves working with this plant, tabernanthe iboga:

jDmP5Vz.jpg

We use this powerful psychoactive plant to treat drug addiction (mostly heroin and opiates, but also cocaine, crack, amphetamines, and more), PTSD (veterans love this medicine!), to help people resolve and move on from past trauma in their lives (child abuse, rape, etc), psycho-spiritual uses, as well as a few other issues.
The 36 hour session involved with a medicinal dose of this plant medicine has been compared to 15 years of intensive psycho-therapy and bearing witness to how it can completely turn around a person's life is nothing short of a miracle. I am grateful to be a part of with every client that comes to us.
The work can be real intense and demanding as we spend 2 weeks with every client, with preparation for the medicine, administration of the medicine, and then the recovery days after all requiring extreme diligence and attention, but it is totally worth it. I feel so privileged to be a part of this and I eagerly look forward to the day that I'll be able to openly do treatments in the US and share it with more people.

fun times outside of work involve the following:

taking my adopted mexican-street-dog to my local beach

spending nights on the beach, around the fire

traveling to magickal spots in Mexico...this country is full of amazing places - my list of places to visit only grows:

traveling to Mexico city to spend time with my sweetheart:

seeing any live music I can, whether local acts here in mexico, or using accumulated mileage to travel to the US for festivals and concerts, like this TOOL concert I recently attended in San Francisco, CA:
QoHQCM9.jpg

I also love all things automotive - used to work at a shop building Subaru's into cars similar to this:
fD9ZCsw.jpg

While I haven't been a mechanic for some years now, I still love driving, love cars and just about anything with a motor...

this makes me melt
M9a3sku.jpg

I think that's enough pics...basically I love nature, camping, spending time in my local jungle, music, medicine, shooting (one thing I can't really do here in Mexico :( ) and so much more.

You might label my a hippie upon first glance but I'd like to think there's more to me than that and a love for INFI.

Thanks for reading...I look forward to meeting all of you!

Cool, I seriously just bought a year membership to OMSI a family pass. If we use it as much as we used our Zoo membership last year I'd say we got a super deal. Father's Day Weekend I will be there with my Lady and kids, probably a few more times over the year as well. I live to the left of you guys in the land of Cheese.

Since the OP likes Music, this is the only picture I could get of an awesome experience. I wasn't allowed to use a camera, but that is my Fiance and I sitting on the couch in the back left. One of my favorite bands from recent history.

I may have questions for you in the future pointer's and things, my best friend also has a Super Blackhawk in 44 mag, and another friend just started a fund for his. It is a very real possibility we may want to test the water's on this new kind of fun. It seems with Re-Loading comes so many Recreational Shooting activities.

I like to take this Beauty along when camping, hiking, and hunting (sometimes all three of these are combined). The holster is a Triple K 114 Cheyenne with the 110 Wyoming belt. Think it would work for that type of competition shooting. Rides low in a gun-slinger style.
