Hey, I just realized I have one of these and I have the same story. My dad gave me mine in the 1970s. I'll post up a pic later.
they do make great kitchen knives, probably the 2nd best use.I'll join. I usually lurk and read in the Traditionals forum, but wandered over here and read this whole tread...ended up on eBay. Found a "Best Offer" listing with a couple of small blurry pictures, asked the seller for better pictures and got a handful of larger, still blurry pictures. But he accepted my lowball offer, so here I am. Don't have any real use for a fixed blade belt knife; might have to put it to work in the kitchen.
Best I can tell from researching, it should be from the first half of the 80's (like me), and should be 425M steel.

And...I came home and pulled out what I thought was my Buck...but it is a Case. I carried this thing with me constantly when I was a kid (yes, we actually were trusted to carry lethal weapons) as I roamed the shores of the bayou at the end of my street, went out on my boat (by myself!) and had the run of the whole place armed with my single shot .177 cal Benjamin Air Rifle and my trust knife. My brother and I used to like to travel across the bayou to NAS Pensacola, sneak up on to the end of the flight line and watch planes taking off over our heads, or the Blue Angels practicing, until we saw the Navy Shore Patrol coming careening across the field in our direction, at which point we skedaddled and were never caught even one time.
Now those were the GOOD OLD days, no?
Anyway...here is my Case. I know I'm not worthy of the noble Pathfinder club, but ... of a kindred spirit, I hope. I cared for this knife like crazy, sharpened it obsessively and oiled the leather to the point you see it here.

Add me in just sent for mine. Was looking for a good EDC knife and was a toss up between this and the 102. I will probably get both
The 105 gets a lot of competition from that little snot nose 102.
Don't be mean.
I hope you know I was kidding, hence the grinning emoji.
TAH, if we get offended about someone saying something about a knife model, we are taking this way too seriously.
I think the 36 pages indicate we are taking this too seriously.

Now what I’d really like is one picture with all of them lined up by size to compare them
