The perfect folder?

Yes to your question. I have found that the wayfarer 247 is everything I ever wanted in a EDC. If I were in a survival situation I would hope to have it with me. Enjoy your knife bro. It is a beauty :)

That Seamus Knives Irish folder may be the perfect folder, but this Seamus Knives MC flipper is the perfect flipper :-)

You have much more patience than I lol. When I want something I gotta have it now. Hince 4 knives in a months time... Doh

My four top folders in no particular order:
Strider SMF
Spyderco Millie
Emerson CQC-8
Les George VECP

Each one molds to my hand perfectly and I have no worries about it slipping if covered in mud, blood, or barbeque sauce. The things I have used these knives for would probably make the makers cringe but they performed flawlessly. These four knives are what I judge all others by.

LOL
It happens to me also sometime ;)
But as I am trying to reduce my collection it is better to work my patience ;)
Target for this year will be no ore than 3 knives ;)

Out of the ones I own currently, I'd pick my ZT 562 as my favorite all-around folder for general use. Just fits so well in my hand and has been my go-to knife for everything outside of the office. I find it a bit much to carry at work for cutting cardboard and mail, but it's the only folder I regularly take with me outdoors instead of a fixed blade knife.

That infatuation may pass for you after a few weeks. I felt similarly ecstatic when I first got mine. I've bought other knives since that pushed the 562 out of my pocket for short times, but it always manages to get regular use. I guess only time will tell if you've really found that "perfect" knife for yourself. Glad you are enjoying it! ;)

Yes that will be tough...;)
I reduced my collection from 30 to 20... I would like to get it to 10/12 so the more I take the more I have to let go :(

How do you decide which ones to let go? I just bought a really nice large sebenza 21 with micarta inlays from a guy on here and was wondering how you can sell off a knife. I horde my tools lol

I use my knives
They are tool first... some of my tools are nice ones but if my usage evolve and if I réalisé I don't use them much I start to think about selling them
My ZT0550 has never seen much use and now that I have an Inkosi I think I will sell it since I have never carried it since I have the Inkosi
This one will be hard to sell because I really like it a lot...

For me, the XM-18 3.5 is the perfect knife for me. But, the first knife I was truly amazed with was the ZT 0560BW. Both of them, super smooth deployment can handle everything, aren't so heavy that you can't carry around. Has amazing ergonomics, just feels so secure in the hand. Also, the flipper acts as a forward guard for safety, but also if the lock does fail the flipper will hit your finger, not the blade which is a massive bonus safety feature that I really like.

Dan, I LOVE that Seamus KNives MC flipper!!! That is so sweet!! :D And I agree that it IS the perfect flipper!!

The next knife I order from him IS going to be a flipper!!

And I am going to catch up on the folders. I will have a lot more to show off at the end of the year.

I will say that before my Olamic 247, I thought my 0560 was the best knife I've ever held and everything was compared to it. The ergonomics were perfect to me and nothing else stacked up to it, but since I've been carrying my 247 every day for a few weeks, going back to the 0560 just feels off now. The 247 is truly the best feeling knife I've ever held, 0560 was top of my list for 5 years and has been reduced to second place. Though I still love it, all that size just seems unneeded in the hand whereas the 247 feels absolutely spot on. Nice sized blade, no extra crap in the handle, just a great feeling knife.
