The perfect folding knife

The perfect modern folding knife for this guy is easily the Spyderco Delica 4. I love everything about it.

I really have to concur here. Not because it's perfect at everything but simply because it's a) affordable in the extreme, b) well made, c) easy to maintain, d) easy to carry, e) excellent at doing so many things, and f) capable of doing so many more in a pinch. All that packed into a size that is convenient and also most likely to be "legal" in workplaces and whatnot (2 7/8" blade).

Mine would be the XM18 with a custom grind.

Rick usually does his grinds pretty thin so it makes for a thick blade that can cut.

I don't think there is a "perfect" one, but the best compromise I've found in the M390 Para2.
Doesn't stop me looking, however.

Military in any flavor - I have several and they keep finding their way into my pocket.

Even though there are lots of folders that cost a lot more, some I own also, the Ontario RAT 1 is just about my idea of "the one", even as bargain priced as it is.

Does the definition of "perfect" also take price into account?
Also, I assume the question is in regards to the perfect EDC.

You know i got a svord peasent knife in the mail today. Its so simple that it might be the perfect folding knife. No fancy smansey locks or the newest scale material. Just a pivot a handle and a blade. I need more of these.

I totally agree with you - great knives!! I really like my Svord Peasants. However, for my desires, it would really benefit from a pocket clip - I would carry it much more :) I ordered a pocket clip and I am going to craft a way to attach it. What color did you get? ...I mean, what is the "perfect" color? ;)

I'm hoping for you Gareth to make my perfect one;)
So far, the small Insingo is perfect for me

startac zaan. It's one of the very few knives I bought more than one of just to have in case one somehow shatters or melts....unlikely? Yes. Crazy? Never.

Para 2, or my GEC #66 Stockman in beautiful jigged blood red bone.
