The perfect folding knife

Not sure about perfect but for years I haven't been without a Para, Delica or mini grip of some rendition. The 940 was also nice surprise. Everything else has been negotiable.

In production folders, practically any William Henry with a 3" or longer blade.

There are lots of knives that I like for various reasons. I find one that I think is nearly perfect and then I find something that I like better. I agree that none are really perfect and there will always be something ahead that we like better. For now the Benchmade 913 Stryker is the one that has the most features that I like, but since it could be better I can't call it perfect.

I'm 5'6", 135lbs, wiry build and small hands. I don't want to EDC anything smaller than an endura. The endura is just about perfect for me in terms of blade and handle dimensions (though I've no complaints with either a police or a military.) The endura has the best blade of the three (zdp 189) and the handle ergos are on par with the police. The military is a utility knife AFAIC.

Ok, I know this has been asked before. But I want to know what knife you consider the perfect or the best folder.

Like others have said, perfect probably doesn't exist, and the best folder is one you have on you. For me, over the years, I've carried my Small Sebenza the most, by quite a large margin. I've tried a lot of other knives, but I always end up back with my Sebenza.

My top three, in terms of both favorite and most carried would look like this:
  1. Small Sebenza
  2. Large Sebenza
  3. Spyderco PM2

After years of daily carry, my Sebenzas still feel as good as the day I first got them. The action is just as smooth, the lockup hasn't budged, and they still feel bank vault solid. For me personally, even considering their relatively high price, I don't know how you top that.

I haven't seen a perfect knife yet, I really like my spyderco Gayle Bradley. For the price it's got great steel, blade geometry, and phenomenal fit and finish. To me most folders fall short of perfect just by having a stainless blade, it really limits the options out there.

Victorinox Pioneer.
It has the blade, and then the extra tools to use instead of abusing the blade.

The knives in your pocket when you need them. I carry a Case barlow, Case peanut and a Syderco Endura 4 everywhere I go. None are perfect but it sure is nice to have choices.
God Bless

I have to agree with (bladeboss) above! The SAK Pioneer has everything that most people will ever need in an EDC folder. Here is mine paired with my Survive EDC4.

A tough call, but for small tasks the Spyderco Dragonfly2 and for larger ones the Pro Tech TR-3 manual limited blue version.

I echo the Para 2. I also find I carry the Native 5 a lot very stout little knife that I find performs very well for most tasks. Because of the choil it fits my hand as well or better than many larger knives however the Para's handle gives a lot of options and I love the lock.

I am a big fan of the delicate as a close to perfect edc. Very slim and light. Affordable as well.

I have nicer knives........but this one covers about everything that I look for in an edc.

Just keep coming back to the s30v blur. Fits my hand just a bit better than my para 2.

I think it's a 3-way tie for me. The Benchmade 913D2, Spyderco PM2, and the ZT 0560. Just great knives with great ergos.

For me, it's definitely one of these two.
