The perfect pocket knife.

Well this one ain't perfect, but it's what I'm looking for and cannot find.

2" blade
thumbstud open - (thumbstud will have to be removable for sharpening.)
AUS8, 440C, VG1, VG10, AUS 10, or 154CM blade
Pocket clip
Lockback
modified drop point.

I can find knives with two or three of my wants, but not all.

Hmmmmm, if your not dead set on a thumbstud and won't mind an upgrade on the steel than a Blade-Tech mouse II has a S30V blade (2" or less) and comes in either a version with carbon fider handles or G-10 which is cheaper...It has a pocket clip I believe...thats the only one that comes close to what you want that I can think of off hand that is a lockback...

If I could get a folding street beat that is thinner and more pocketable with a thinner blade and BG-42 or S30v steel made by spyderco I would be happy!

If I could get a well made five inch folder with a modern super steel (M-4, S90V/S125V) that would be my ideal. It would have to have the Axis lock, integral Compression lock, or the ball lock. A super sized Spyderco Military or Benchmade Rukus would be nice.

I'd like a Victorinox Farmer with a small wharncliffe or hawkbill blade instead of the awl. They make a model with a hawkbill blade instead of the can opener / small screwdriver, but I'd rather have that than an awl.

Compression lock Military and give the G10 the rougher texture like the Yojimbo and Pikal have.

My perfect pocketknife....

A Victorinox Electrician with the main blade and the electrician's blade made of BG-42.

Victorinox Alox Bantam. Legal to carry in U.K. Very thin, so easy to carry. Has a bottle opener so I'm often the 'go to guy' at parties and BBQ's.

For me it would be the Benchmade Ares series with few changes--spear point, axis lock, G10...

It depends on how you define "perfect" and "pocket knife!" You could say the SAK Trekker is perfect, coz it's cheap, but has a locking blade, plus lots of other little tools. Hmmm...

Three inch blade instead of the two inch you wanted. I own one (at such a cheap price, why wouldn't anyone?) and love it.

Or, as Bors suggested, for a few dollars more, http://www.eknifeworks.com/webapp/e...=&Mode=Brand&PriceStart=&Brand=103&SKU=SP28PB

I'd probably want a customized Microtech LCC D/A with titanium bolsters and liners, plus a ZDP/snakeskin damascus blade, 3 sets of scales that can be switched out, including carbon fiber, mammoth bark ivory, and Mother of Pearl, and a timascus pocket clip carved by Matt Cucchiarra.

Either that, or my LCC D/A as it is already.

William Henry makes a knife that is just about perfect, as well. A GenTac with damascus blade, Titanium frame and bolsters, and Mammoth scales. It's the closest I've ever seen to my ideal. Just switch out the damascus pattern for something more interesting, drop in a coil spring to make it an auto, and I'd sell my whole collection to get it.

A Ken Onion custom Taboo that didn't cost over $2000 so I could comfortably just drop it in my pocket and not worry about it...

A Spyderco Urban with a midlock, VG-10, low-ride wire clip, and blue or silver twill g10 scales.
