The Peter Harvey Traditional Knife Collection

Having had many knives I think are great called "POS" and worse here along with watching everything offered by the late Jim Parker condemned while the old shell bolster Imperials praised I don't see much reason to withhold my opinion. I also have some advice for older knife collectors. Sell before your collection becomes a problem your uneducated family is stuck with. If they are really worth anything you are the one that knows where and how to move them.

He sure collected a lot of junk, souvenir, shell bolster knives. Looks like the average flea market antique dealer's box of over priced rust.

Apologies if I'm mistaken, but you seem to have come to this thread to deliberately troll it. If this collection doesn't interest you, fair enough. There are traditional knives of every sort here.

Thanks Jack for taking the time to post this. It is wonderful to see a man's collection like this. A collection like this contains many stories and memories. It is too bad that Mr. Harvey is not here to tell us what they are.

Jack,
I somehow missed this thread in October, I am glad that I saw it tonight.
Thank You for taking your time to share it with us. Quite a nice variety of interesting knives.

Many thanks guys

Kudos to the OP for his tireless gathering of, and posting of an extensive eclectic collection of knives.

Quoted post moved offline.

You're off to a somewhat false start friend. Not sure if you're asking for info to ID the knife, or you're looking to sell...in either case you're in the wrong forum.

Hi,
I have an Edward VIII King Emperor Coronation 1937 Folding Pen Knife, and this is the only picture I can find of it!

I think you have to be a gold member to ask about values, and Levine's forum might be the place to ask. Levine also appraises for a fee.
Thanks for bringing up this thread; I hadn't seen it.

I'm amazed all the photos are still showing!
