Sign me up for the Rat Pack. What's next, we all getting tatoos:D

Yes it's in the copy of the Rat pack bylaws. we also have to cut our palms and become bloodbrothers. And next is secret handshake and signs when we our at gun and knife shows. :p

As of right now, everyone who is eligible that has requested a number is signed up.

I'm flying out to the east coast tomorrow morning and my interweb time will be spotty at best so please be patient with me during the next week and a half.

I promise, everyone will be issued numbers in the order that the requests are recieved and nobody will miss out on anything (contests, giveaways and the like) due to my absence.

We had one pack member turn on us and try to eat his fellow RAT's, He is now banned so his number, in the first 100 I might add, will have to be recended and something "special" done with it.:D

Thanks guys.

Thanks for watching out for the Rat Pack, although we like dirty rats, we do not tolerate rotten ones.
Where in the east coast will you be going ? Have a safe trip.

we're going to NJ to visit family and pick up our older girls......he's really looking forward to going

I asked because Im in Ct. New Jersey (I believe) has a Six Flags Park towards the southern end (I want to say exit 3 thru 6, I think its 4, off the New Jersey Tpke.) I dont know where you guys will be in NJ, but its a nice park for kids and adults (if you like roller coasters and water rides). It has been years since I have gone so I forgot the exact exit #. Have a safe trip, and watch out for New Jersey drivers. The speed limit on the NJ Tpke is 65, but most do 90+. I was pulled over near the Newark Airport going 93mph coming home from Philadelphia and got a ticket for not obeying the sign/posted speed limit , $40 ticket at that time.

Were natives. The Mrs. and I lived there for 30 odd years until finally becoming fed up enough to move on down here to Tx. a year ago.

This is our first yearly visit back.

It'll be a blast.

How about giving the number to okbohn if he wants it?

I'm quite sure I've got more than 25 posts here. Hook me up with a # brotha!

I THINK I have enough posts now, but I'm waiting to put in my request - I'm trying to snag #179

Figured I'd do a search just to see how many posts I had in here. This one makes 333.

I really like the RAT knives I purchased in April. I bought a couple of Izulas. At purchased the knife and sheath alone, not the complete set. After placing my order I was interested in finding out how to wrap the handles. These were the first knives I had purchased that weren't a folder, so I really had no idea on where to start. It was nice to find instruction on the manufacture website about how to wrap the handle. As a bonus I saw that there was a contest. I entered and hoped for the best. In May I entered again, and found out in June that the contest had cancelled and all further contests would be held here. I came over from the RAT Cutlery website, opened a acct. and entered here. Now it seems I am suppose to contribute to these forums to enter. Lucky for me I like to read as there were no contests for this month listed, I had to look through a couple of topics to find out what was what.

I can appreciate the difficulty in running a contest every month. It seems more trouble than I myself would want to go through. I also appreciate the fact that no one can demand you hold a monthly contest. Thank you taking on the challenge of holding a monthly contest. In the first post of this topic, it was stated that you do not need to own a rat knife, though it would make you cooler. By the rule 25 posts or more, it seems obvious that your are more interested in forum members than you are in customers. While I enjoy both these and the other threads on these boards, I doubt I will be able to be member of the Rat Pack, as I tend more often than not to avoid posting anything (primarily due to length of my post's and poor communication skills). I enjoyed entering the contest's while I could, and I enjoy the knives I have purchased. However I wont be purchasing any more knives, as it seems supporting the company who links to these forums matters less than supporting the forums themselves.
