I also think Dennis has made some very good points. I haven't heard of anyone complaining about the S30V Sebenza's performance and I personally like the idea of added toughness, plus the ability to field sharpen a knife.
I think some people are too caught up in the numbers without really knowing what practical difference they will make.
 
None of the discussions have documented the physical testing on Rc 58-59 vs. Rc 60-61, the range of hardness is very close. I believe the actual variations would require a large sample to plot any significant trends. The Rc hardness is only one indicator of many variables in making and heat treating of steel alloys.

My vote is for CRK, Chris has worked for 18 months with Crucible, and it is his product.
