replies the pistol grip on my AR today, went with a gray MOE grip. I really like it, in fact I'm thinking of going gray with the whole rifle.

next up I'm going to replace the selector switch with a left handed version, as it sits now, the switch is right where my trigger finger sits and it's really uncomfortable

I like the standard MOE grip, I actually prefer it to the rubber-coated version. Did you try being right handed? I mean it's called right handed for a reason! :p

Gunz and knives are cool mmmmkay.

Yeah dey iz.

Hoss that burger looks great. Did you have to smash it with a hammer to fit it in your mouth?

Boat people sent me a message telling me to expect the boat Friday this week or Monday next week...it's already in transit. I expected it to take another week minimum before it even shipped so that's awesome.... Just can't afford to order the battery i want until friday..then wait for it to arrive too... Gunna be hell starring at it and can't use it.

Have there been any BK5 etched, and done a hemp wrap handle? I'm thinking of doing one and going for the look that Rick Marchand does on his Wildertools knives. Anything like that been done?

I remember seeing one that was wrapped in jute twine

I did my BK16 a couple years back and made a thread on it here in Becker land. It was my first. I've done a few of my own made blades in epoxy cordage wraps. I piddle in the knifemaking as a hobby.

Slow night in snarkdom

Fo sho!

Bk20 showed up yesterday AND Misti gave it to me right away. What a beast. I need to get some camping in, so I can try it out.

Had tacos yesterday and decided to try out fish tacos when I got home from work this morning. Fried up some walleye like I normally would and then chunked it apart and put it in soft tortilla shells with cheese, red onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. They were pretty darn tasty. I'll definitely be making them again in the future.

You blinked!! :D

Small boats get used a whole lot more than large ones...sounds like fun times ahead!

Thanks man and i agree, big boats are loads of fun but the kayaks and little boats get used Way more around here.

Father is looking to buy a skiff right now because fishing out of large boats have drawbacks. Can't get in those tight places, cost more to operate, and take more time loading and unloading. He uses his kayaks a few times a month but the big boat only comes out once every couple months... And even then it's more for partying than fishing.

I have done a couple Becker makeovers in the past. I think one was for a giveaway at BladeShow years ago. It's all a blur...

Jason (JCL-MD) from Maryland owns several of your blades. I've handled a few of his, always admired your work, just haven't been able to get one bought yet.

Beckers are great fun to modify and customize. Mostly because they're pretty dang good to start with!

I very rarely mod production knives anymore, because it just doesn't suit my business model (there's no profit in it). But about twice a year... yeah.

Stay tuned...

I invite you all to suck it.

Love that Magnum model. The lines sing to me... sometimes even louder than the other voices in my head.

For those that may be unfamiliar, Rick Marchand is a very highly-regarded handmade/custom bladesmith/knifemaker. I daresay he knows a bit.

The Magnum/BK-5 is indeed a wonderful blade! (you may have heard of a cat called Jerry Fisk? He designed the blade ;) ) It's pretty damn good off the factory floor, and it doesn't much to make it even better.

The voices in your head notwithstanding, I strongly advise you to wrap your paw around a BK-20 and go to work. I honestly think you'll like it. A lot.

Right out the box, the BK-20 is built, ground and balanced very much like a serious handmade bowie.
