The Rise Of The Baddest Blade In The Land. . . The Anorexic Fusion Battle Mistress!!!. . . . Coming Wednesday, November 2, 2022 At 9:00 pm Eastern!!!

Still wondering how some of you got yours so soon..... I had my order placed within mere minutes of the sale going live and I'm still "awaiting fulfillment". Paid back on the 22nd too but some of you already had the knife in hand by then!

Perhaps it's because I got the satin finish? I see no one else has posted that they have one so I'll have to post pics whenever mine comes in. Evidently it's not a very popular finish but man, it sure looks good to me! Too bad it scratches so easily I hear.

Same here, but mine is still - awaiting shipment- .

I imagine the first round that went out were the pre-made ones that matched customer orders.

You're one step ahead of me then.

I know! Satin is so good, isn't it? I do like the look of some of the coated blades but I'd never use them because I don't like it looking trashed when it eventually wears. Satin you can always refinish so who cares if it wears, and even then, it still looks better than having half your coating missing!

That's what I figure too. But hey, good things come to those who wait or so they say. I'm just glad they brought this model back and it looks like a pretty awesome change with the thinner geometry and all. I'm all about the performance so this thing should be pretty nice. Hoping we get to hear and see some comparisons and feedback from those who own and use the previous gen how it compares to this new model.

I ordered 2 the morning after the listing appeared on the Busse site. One in satin and the other in coated.

I have already received my black coated with green micarta. But the satin one is still saying "Awaiting fulfillment".

So I guess they are processing the satin in a separate batch, or maybe the process just flat out takes longer.

In no hurry though. They are worth the wait!

This thing is absolutely beautiful.

What did you use for the belt loops on this sheath?

Yeahh Garth had mentioned the satin was hand applied so probably why those with come out a little later.

The satin finish on these is hand applied satin finish.

Very time consuming but well worth it to me. I just like shiny things I guess. The satin finished blades will not have machine marks.

My understanding (might be flawed... and blurred by single malt...) is that all blanks would be inspected and assesed into 3 categories.
The ones with the least marks from the steel mill would be getting designated for satin finish, the ones that don't cut it go for stonewash/comp/double cut and the most marked go for coated finish.
I guess there might be some kinda (drinking???) game that is played for the model that's on the shop floor at the time to decide which batch goes first to be finished...
