The Rise Of The Baddest Blade In The Land. . . The Anorexic Fusion Battle Mistress!!!. . . . Coming Wednesday, November 2, 2022 At 9:00 pm Eastern!!!

I have a hand-applied satin INFI Mountainmandu, same blade length and thickness with full-height flat grind, comes in about 6 oz lighter than the 23 oz Jerry mentioned for this new AFBM. Trying to decide if I need one of these. Thoughts? Thx

Obviously it's not a need, if everyone here went by needs I'd estimate order volume went down by 99% lol.

I like all my Busse blades, but FBM and NMFBM have special place in my collection. I use them a lot and it’s hard to beat these knives. I’m curious if this new Mistress will feel better in my hand. Absolutely love the black coating blade with black/tan handle! Though satin and black micarta is so classic. Hard to decide…

Thanks for the advice but my pimp won't allow me on OnlyFans , hahaha

I've not owned a stone washed yet. Does the stonewash do away with the grinding marks?

In my humble opinion, the stonewashed finish is glorious. No, it's probably not as sexy as the Comp finish but it's glorious, nonetheless.

My first stonewashed INFI was the Stonehenge HR2, and I've beaten that thing more than any knife deserves. A little Dawn and a wet sponge, a short drying hang from the handle of one of the kitchen drawers, and some 3-IN-ONE or Ballistol, and that thing looks like it just came out of the shipping box.

Just my $0.02. Your mileage may vary.

80CrV2 is probably my all time favourite steel so that would be cool. But yes definitely on the pricey side.

I never realized 80CrV2 was expensive. However, that does (*now) explain the costs of certain Maker's knives...maybe not completely, but a little.

Admittedly, I'm not much of a "steel snob". I just kinda' know what works for me and (*being a creature of habit) try to buy what I like. I have a bit of the "newer" stuff. (*AEB-L, S90V, MagnaCut, etc.) However, I only have that stuff because I was interested in the knife design, and a certain steel was all it was offered in.

When it comes to steels, I'm a bit of a "cheap date". I like 420HC, 1095, 1095 "Cro-Van" (*50100B Sharon?), 5160, 8670, and 3V. (*although I know that 3V isn't exactly "cheap") I've beaten on all of 'em pretty extensively over the years and have never had an issue. Beyond that, I can beat on 'em all day, take 30 seconds to touch 'em up with the most rudimentary of sharpening methods, and I'm back in the game.

Someone here once posted something along the lines of, "I'd rather spend one minute a week sharpening, than 30 minutes every month." That's kinda' my mantra, too. 🤷‍♂️

I've got to say, from firsthand experience, this masterpiece of a blade is an amazing knife and is even more impressive when used what it was intended for- Destroying everything in its' path! Well done Boss Man! I'm sure everyone is anxious to get these out into the wilderness and baptize them!
VooDoo I have to agree with you. I took one of these out back behind the shop when no one was looking to see if I could still chop like I could in the old days... It was my favorite hobby!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! After chopping many 2x4's in half it sliced paper as if it never even knew that I had beat on it. Down right magical.

Boss Hog you clearly worked your magic...just an amazing blade. No wonder you are known for making the most powerful knives in the industry. Looks like my chopper family needs a new member or two, that is, if the Hogs leave any.
