We were terribly excited about the prospect of such amazing bone handles, but it was not to be.How could one say no to THOSE samples Lyle!!! Wow!
That's killer jigging , done maybe before Bill's hand in the bone room became ill, as happened during the making of these . These are the samples I received of the jigging pattern (not the coloration) that I had ordered ( that Bill and his jigger had come up with) for my farmers jacks:

Oh my! This is some epic old style jigging. This is what I wished GEC would move to as their standard jigging. That's killer jigging , done maybe before Bill's hand in the bone room became ill, as happened during the making of these . No shield, that’s a rare one! Congrats on tracking that down.
Thank ya, Ross...It's a welcome addition to the scarce pile. Have a great weekend! Here’s a recent addition that’s fitting to bump this thread back to the top

We See some amazing Bone on the older GECs, the beautiful Ruby Red on the 792312s that I had looks similar to this..Oh my! This is some epic old style jigging. This is what I wished GEC would move to as their standard jigging.
I noticed that GEC stopped doing the occasional awesome runs of jiggling around 2015. They now only do the same one or two styles of basic not very random jigging. Sorry to hear about the employee who did the jigging. It looks like that employee had a great understanding of what traditional bone jigging looked like and the skill to replicate it.
And, it’s built on such a versatile frame! From the Grinling to the English Whittler to the Willamette and the Farmer’s Jack. The 38 Special model is a bit lackluster, but I think if it had the #1 clip, it’d be more desirable.Whether in active use or in the collection, this pattern is one of the finest ever made![]()
The whole gamut!! Very cool!!A half dozen Farmers
