The Sardinian connection.

Gev,
usually, on all Sardinian folders the bolster/pivot pin is intentionally left a bit proud for adjustments :)
As for the artichokes, just like knives, we keep them pointy and sharp ;)

Thank you, Fausto!! And...pointy and sharp is good;)

Hello Gevonovich, Fausto is right. There is a strong difference of humidity between Quartu Sant Elena where Davide Steri and my flat near Paris and the horn change a lot with this humidity . That flats are very dry and the horn reduices a lot.
So I have to be able to tighten time to time the friction of the knives. It's why Davide put a longer pin than usually.

:D

Hello,
Of course it's a modern knife with a slip joint system, but the design is definitivly sarde :D
this knife has been made by three great knife-makers and friends for me.
Like this I have one knife in the pocket from three of my friends :D:thumbup:

The damascus is from Gigi Sechi. It has been used in a san-maï blade by Davide Steri and handle and system has been made by Roberto Serra.
Davide added a bolster in its own damascus .

I'm as proud as happy :D
Warm regards

Muah ha hahaha.

:)

I'm getting a Resolza, much like Carl's. Excited!

From a trip my girlfriend made to Florence and Roma this January, she brought me back a Resolza marked 'Pattada Inox' from a small shop in Roma run by an older lady. She helped her pick this beauty out. Far smaller than your standard resolza at 5.25' or 133.35MM but I do believe it to be a 420HC as standard on production models and it cuts like a dream. I love the blade to handle ratio.

Way to go Dan!! :thumbup::thumbup:

The resolza is a great knife. Of all the knives I have, the resolza gives me the best feeling of being suave. Like I should be sitting someplace on the Mediterranean, in a sidewalk cafe with a loaf of fresh Italian bread, some cheese, sipping on an expresso or a nice glass of wine.

If the most interesting man in the world carries a pocket knife, it will be a resolza.

"I always carry a knife, and it's always a resolza! Stay sharp my friends!"
