Thanks mate, I don't know if your sardinian or not, but if you are, you sure know the master who made my folding, which is Pierluigi Piras, a friend of mine living in the same town as mine

Hi,
I'm not sardinian, I'm french but I've a lot of friends in the island.

Here is the Maestro Piras at the last show of Valdobiadene "La Via Dei Magli"

So you are from the area of Cardedu .
I've never been in this part of the island. I spend my hollydays in the south . But more and more i visit the other parts.

Alessandro,
welcome to our subforum :) I do know your area and I love it (for those who don't know much, Ogliastra - in the eastern part of Sardinia - is a land of wilderness and deep traditions).
Nice to have other Sardinian members here :)

Wonderful pensive shot! I'd like to get hold of one of those smaller knives or any smaller Sardinian Traditional.

Thanks, Will

Thanks all, and thanks to quattromori, i hope Pierluigi is following the thread, we were talking this morning about this forum, and finding a way to let him partecipate in some way :-), i will try give him all support needed about english, about his job? well no lol, he knows what he does!

This thread makes me happy! Thanks to all who contributed pictures and information. :-)

Hello,

This thread makes me happy too! (This ENTIRE section of BF makes me happy too!)

I smile when I look at all of the beautiful knives and comments. I love to read about the history of the knives that people own (Old or new.), the knife makers and the older and newer companies too.

I love to read about what people own in other states and countries too.

Keep it up, nice people, and THANK YOU.

Sincerely,

Cate
