The Sardinian connection.

PM? That is a bit egoistic mate :( We all want them pics, even if we do not admit it openly :D
I hereby do admit I want them as well, so keep them coming, please!

No one has ever been hurt by some nice "knife-porn" afaik :D

I Didn't mean to speak out of turn, I have obviously misunderstood and didn't mean to sound egotistical or to step on anyone's toes. If it sounded that way I apologize.

Just kidding, no harm done! I just did not want to miss any of the awesome pictures I imagined coming :D

I promise you I am the last person to try and block anyone from spectacular knife porn. I was after something more tangible, and obviously had misread what was going on. After all those Resolza's are my kind of knife, they have a handle a blade and a edge, which puts them right in my wheelhouse. It also doesn't hurt that they are beautiful but it sure does helps :D

I miss Saundra Santiago's occasional appearance in a swimsuit..........

TV Trivia:
Vice was the first time a black man and white woman were shown cavorting in bed..

Great stuff Carl.

I've been very pro-Europe with my recent cutlery purchases, but Resolza still currently elludes me....

I too have had a long running lean toward European cutlery. Opinel's, old Herder's sodbusters, Mecators. But the resolza has something all the others don't. It's a feel. With all my words, I can't describe it, or put it into words. But once you get one, and experience the feel of a nice horn handled resolza, you can't be without one. It's the kind of thing that, you have to experience yourself.

I understand what you mean Carl.

Perhaps one of its Pyrenease cousins shall satiate me until I track one down....

For now, please continue to share yours with us from time to time.
(Hopefully Jack shall share his new aquisition too!)

I've handled a couple in Milano last december - they really have something very special
Unfortunately none of them was for sale (except some high end custom pieces) because I was a little "late to the show" :(

I also know a guy who knows a guy who carried a resolza...

Carl, thank you :) I do feel part of the story and I'm flattered. And I'm happy to help anyone who is after one of these knives ;)

The patina on your knife looks great Fausto.

It's a wonderful looking specimen

Oh Carl, you sure suckered me.

When I got to the suitcase full of Sardinian Resolzas, I started laughing. I haven’t quite stopped yet.

Well done.

Glad it made you laugh. It was written tongue in cheek, and maybe influenced by the fact that this recent spat of bad weather here in Maryland had me inside going through the On Demand feature of the COMCAST cable. I stumbled on a channel that had the old Miami Vice show, and I was watching back to back episodes. It got me to thinking, always a bad thing!:D

Karen made me stop when she found me watching in an old white sport coat, docksides with no socks, and calling the dog "Pal."

Fausto, that looks like a gorgeous specimen of a resolza. Do you have a more broadside shot of it? Love the patina blade and brass bolster!:thumbup::thumbup:

Nice one, Carl! I was transported....

That dark Resolza, larger than the others, with light streaks in the horn... look anything like this one? ;)

Started reading this and the show theme music started ipounding in my head and I watched that car sail through the dark Miami night. Yes, I watched TOO many episodes of this in my mis-spent youth. I loved the adaptation Carl! Steven
