The scammers who lurk the exchange

Im getting text messages tonight from scammers pretending to be a seller that I’ve been in touch with through DM. They somehow got my phone number in order to text me. I ran a search on BF for my phone # and my email and both came up empty, so I’m not sure how these scumbags got my info. Anyways they’re not fooling me, but beware of these a$$holes.

Edited -

I found your phone number in under a minute, spelled out in your add for a Protech.

We have harped on this time and time again, posted notices, posted in discussion threads, posted in sale threads, left banners up and still folks will not take the steps recommended which will greatly enhance their security.

There comes a point after banging your head against the wall repeatedly where you realize that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

It's not rocket science folks. It's a matter of common sense and not being penny wise and pound foolish.

If you're leaving your personal contact details in public, you only have yourself to blame when the miscreants come calling...when you could have access to DMs for the princely sum of 2.7 cents per day based upon a "Basic" membership which costs $10 annually.

Is it worth risking hundreds of dollars, (or more), on a knife purchase to save 2.7 cents? Your money. You decide.
You can lead a horse to water...and all the rest of that stuff. People are posting their emails here almost literally as I type this.

I recently posted email account details in a sale thread... and soon after that I received emails from three different accounts. I went back to Bladeforums, removed muy email address from the thread, paid the basic membership and contacted directly the seller. I guess for some people is a way of life. Be carefull out there!
