It is a Chinese made knife branded for Taylor Brands LLC. Can it defy gravity? Anything is possible with graphics programs.

yes its the knife lying on its side and picture taken from above
but for anyone who has this knife is it possible to stand on its belly?

because i put my knife collection on display
and all of them are placed either on their back or belly
manual opening knives on their back and auto/assisted on their belly

Different strokes, I guess.

So if it doesn't balance that way, is that a deal-breaker? Like you wont buy the knife because of that?

yes, it should. The blade back and the two scale points make a triangular base. I think (?) it would stand that way. Several of my knives will (just tried it, but I don't know why :-)

i have allot of knives on my mind i need to make decisions
There is two ways to get your Chinese knife to stand on its' blade.
You could ask the seller to replace the knife. For a knife that will stand on its' Blade.
Or better still you could try some super glue; that will work.:D
I would simply through it in the trash bin.

Does the light really go out when you close the refrigerator door?
Hi William from Australia, that is a very good question!
I have always been out of the refrigerator, when the door is closed.

However, I think if I started to collecting knives made in China by Taylor Brands - I would not tell anyone.. Ken

You can use picture mounting wax to make it Stand any way you want. It is sticky and no hardening so removable.

No need to shame people for their knife choices. It's refreshing to meet -anyone- who is carrying a knife that didn't come out of a $2 jar when I'm out and about.

G'day Ken.

Actually no, the light in your fridge does stay on. I think it is a great light for reading by, hence late at night I crawl into my fridge and close the door so I can have the best light possible to look at back issues of Blade magazine. I consider it to be a private vice and there is nothing better than a fridge to keep things private.

I don't believe this for a second. I have it on good authority that the refrigerator light is subject to quantum uncertainty and exists in both states until observed. You can verify this firsthand by opening and closing the door an endless number of times.

I did so and had 32000 consecutive "light on" occurrences followed by 460000 consecutive "light off" occurrences, after which I ceased the experiment. That might seem like an unlikely number set to reach if it were truly random, but remember that there is a statistically equal chance of getting all tails when flipping a coin as there is of getting a mix.

Ken's remarks were made, you will note, when the post was placed in the Imperial Schrade collectors' subforum. To collectors of Schrade knives, these do not qualify as Schrades, made by Schrade. These and many more are simply branded as Schrade by the new owners of the name. It does confuse many people who don't know (or care about) the difference. As far as this knife being a cheap imported user, it may perform well for the pricepoint. And as many buyers these days can't discern differences in quality, it may also satisfy the buyer. Particularly in the instance where they only want to look at it in a display case. And I will say that the Chinese factories are quite capable now of turning out decent knives when an importer specifies such. As to whether or not they are collectable... people collect salt and pepper shakers and bottle caps.
