My first ever knife show and it was excellent.

Lots of traditional knifes new and old, knife making supplies etc.etc.

The atmosphere was calm and friendly.

The tea and bacon sarneys where tasty and a fair price.

The sun was out and it was a pleasant county drive for the last 30 minutes.

I left realising I had only seen a bit of what I wanted to see and the feeling I had missed something somewhere despite having some nice stuff.

I had I didnt buy it remorse 😆

These Viking, slip joint and friction knives where something else.
Absolutely outstanding and tough as old boots.
Nice chap as well rode his bike over.

Chas he was knowledgeable and had a big collection.
It was him told me about my Barlow

Ah didnt get enough time to go though these beauty's

My favourite table,it was here I emptied my wallet 😂

I am sure I missed lots of good uns,I dont have the knowledge a lot of you have.

Mark or Congys knife sales,I have bought sold and traded with him.
Honest and reliable.

I had already given him most of my money when he said have you seen this its a Bunny knife?

Thats when I agreed to paypal him on my return home so I could buy it (hes American living in England).

His stall was by far my favourite I love the old stuff.

What several people said at the show and I agreed is there's nothing like handling and seeing the knives in real life.

For instance in pictures the wood and brass gunstock jack just realy appealed to me,I saw one at the show and now I am glad I have the stag version instead.

The same with other knives I could compare the white owl to the pony jack, the pony jack won.

Until you handle those Viking knives you have no idea how tough and magical they feel in the hand.

Just my opinion of course 😁

I haven't shown you everything I bought and traded yet.
One from France may have been a bargain especially for collectors,I am no expert though.🤣

Really good selection and styles of knives, looks extremely well-attended too, nice to see a hive of enthusiasm

That knife you show in wood with brass bolsters and centre band - you think it might be Hungarian? Wonder if Jolipapa Jolipapa would comment? He knows a deal bout Magyar knives. I wonder if it might be Turkish?

Thanks, Will
